It's disappointing that Daniela lost after playing so well but a lot of credit must go to Mauresmo who played a really good match. This shows what Daniela can do, so she can take a lot from this.

Both Daniela & Dominika had long singles matches so the doubles could be tough as Dechy & Johansson will be fresh and rested. Daniela and Dominika will have to dig deep but they haven't put this much in not to win.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Too bad she lost but it sounds like she played well for the second time in a row.

I reckon that's the first time she's done that since returning from the injury, so lots of positives to take out of this.

Off-topic: Where the hell did Alexa Glatch come from?

She's been quite a successful young player; getting good results from aged 15 onwards. She beat Suarez Navarro in Indian Wells this year (who had beaten Venus Williams at the Australian Open). Shes not as well known as Melanie Oudin but could end up being the better player in a few years time. Anyway, its good for US tennis that they have both Oudin and Glatch to 'cheer on' once the Williams' sisters leave the competing scene. Bethanie Mattek-Sands can only provide so much entertainment.

They lost 6-4 1-6 6-4. That does really hurt. The effort was huge. Played till 22.00 just to lose it anyway. I'm glad to see Danka played well, but Slovakia lost 2-3 altough they were playing good. I feel very sorry for them. They are good enough to play World Group I. They're much better than Ukraine and Germany.

Such a pity they had to draw France. Ukraine had to play vs. Argentina without Dulko and Jozami :evil:

unfortunate that they had to get france of all teams but Dani at least showed some good tennis so I am more happy with that

A big dissapointment. Slovak Republic down to World Group 2 once again, having held a 2-1 lead. All we can say is that they drew one of the tougher World Group 1 teams of this year, since they could have played Argentina, China or Spain in the play-off. Two good matches from Daniela though, and a good win for Dominika too.
