Ugggh... can we please have a match where we don't have to worry or stress about your chances of winning. i am afraid not |

FINALLY won that first set! Not watching the match and just relying on the scoreboard, I really do feel that first set should have been easier. Not winning when she was game or break point up made that set harder than it should have been, but at least she's got it in the bag. Now on to a more convincing second set please! |

Just got broken at the first game of the second set. Another nail-biter match ahead... |

wow, she just got 1 of 6 first serves in play. Something tells me her serve is off today |

That is so typical of Daniela, making her life more difficult by herself. |

I agree with Christina. I think her serving might be off today. Not enough first serves in according to the stats. Though she held to love just then, so maybe she's picking it up! *fingers crossed* She's winning about 70% when her first serve gets in, so clearly it's been effective, just not enough first serves in. |

FINALLY WON!!! At least she picked up her play in that second set. Surprisingly, she got more first serves in the first set than in the second, but struggled more with her serve in the first than second. I think she made it a harder match than it should have been, but a win is a win, and she could be adjusting to the conditions again. |

Finally, she won. I didn't see the match so I don't know what was wrong but according to the SB, her serve didn't work out today. So maybe we can see a better performance next round. Now onto double. |

Daniela was probably lucky as well that she was playing against Voegele. No disrespect to Stefanie, but had she been drawn against a higher ranked player, she may not have escaped that first set like she did. Knowing how Daniela has on days and off days, I'm hoping tomorrow is an ON day for her!! |

It looks likes for you guys who got up a little early today to watch this it was another stressful one, and when I saw the scoreline I thought same old same old. Whats the situation with her 2nd round opponent because last thing I heard was that Peer had been refused entry into the country and would not be able to play this tournament? Scott Edit: Dont worry Ive had another look at the draw and I saw Morita has replaced Peer in her match against Chakvetadze |

A predictable victory for Daniela, even if only one of the two sets were decided by an encouraging scoreline. If it's Chakvetadze who is next, here's yet another opportunity for her to beat a pretty good player. |
