Gonzo just beat Hewitt. I guess I can rip up all my wadgerin' papers on Hewitt right now too (oh, I don't want to do it), because there's no way he'll be working AO'09 now obviously.

Truely a sweet match. Many nice things could be said. Hewitt just couldn't take it.

Apparently Hewitt wants a shot at the top-10 again and plans to qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Hello! Many greetings from Melbourne. The AO are so great :-) The whole area with the outside courts are wonderful! I stay with my father in the official player hotel hyatt so i saw a lot of tennis players. unfortunately i do not know many of them with names but here in the hotel i met and know petrova, mauresmo, karlovic. But there are so many. But i have not seen Daniela, but i know she stayed here last year.
I wanted to see her practise, but the courts are at so different places. Courts 4-15 are at a complete different place as courts 16-22. So its impossible to have an eye at all courts. I looked a lot of time at all different courts, but i do not see her, but i will try tomorrow.
I only saw practising petrova, mauresomo, federer, dokic, haas, schuettler, chackvedaze, stoysur ,Safin, safina . Mh sry i do not remember more at the moment ^^ But it is so sad that i have see tennis players like safin and mauresmo the second time and other players like Dani at no time :-(
But now to the match, i bought some tickets for rod laver arena, unfortunately there were at the upper rows, but that doesnt matter. I had a great view.
It seems to me that Dani was a little bit nervous at the first games. Because it felt to me that there were only 10 dani fans and all the others supported the Aussi girl. So they make a lot of noise!! And the Aussi girl (sry dont remeber her name) plays very good. And because of that dani makes a lot of UE and gets unsure.
The whole day at the AO there were 40 degrees celsius. Also at the night session the temperatures were also high, but not so much, And i get to sweat soo much more in the tiebreak as the whole day session!! I were soo happy when she maked the fucking (sry) setpoint in the tiebreak! And i can tell you..if the aussi girl would had won the first set,i think dani would have lost..
But that speualtions are not interesting, the only thing that counts,if that she has won.
Tomorrow i will see her 2nd round match. Maybe i can follow her practise, too.
Today i saw Serena Williams and Mauresmo practising 2-3 hours before their match started. Would Dani warm up also 2-3 hours before her match will start?
So sorry i could not write more, because i have to go now, but later i will tell you more from the AO.
So lets all keep one's fingers crossed for Danis 2nd round match and for the doubles.

Many geetings :-) sorry if my english is not so good, but i had to write fast ;)

Mathilde Johansson(FRA) There is a small chance they show something, because ES is a french channel.
