They showed her briefly on the live stream. Ja she lost. Try letting it work? hmm? :tape:

Oh yeah doubles. It was worth it.

erm 6-0 third set?????? pitiful!

im gonna be hopeful and assume that she's dusting off some cobwebs from the off season. it is her first match afterall, but this loss does nothing for her confidence. its a shame too, cos this was a pretty good draw which opened up when schiavone lost, and a chance to gain some ranking points. the draw won't be as kind next week in sydney.

What has she been doing?

well i would have hoped she was busy training and really getting ready, but this result is not particularly pleasant.
it's actually getting quite frustrating seeing these losses to players she shouldn't be losing too. she seems to put herself in a good position in the first set, and then looses concentration maybe and can't close it out.

again, it is the first match of the season, but really, this was a match she should have won in 2 clean sets

Well that's just a crappy start to the year. Maybe the heat got to her.

it doesn't seem as if much has change. Unfortunately. Without watching the match, I've seen enough of Daniela to believe that this match was mainly her making errors. Is Errani a good mover? If she is one of those players who get a lot back, she might have succeeded in frustrating Daniela enough, so that Daniela tried to hit winners way too often.

I am praying for a miracle to happen any time soon now. Anybody want to join me?

Yeah i'll join you. Can't believe that she couldn't even get a game in the final set, or get a break point even though errani served less than 30 per cent 1st serves in....

I'm all in for praying for miracles. I just hope it comes soon.

I agree with Christina. Not actually watching the match, but knowing Daniela, I would take a huge gamble on the fact she lost that match because of a litter of unforced errors and impatience. Errani can get a fair amount of balls back, but by no means can she outpower Daniela or give her the run around.

It was almost Libertine the way she went down though.

Not the start to the New Year I was hoping for. And whats with all the collapsing in recent matches? You can usually rely on Daniela to fight to the bitter end.

Oh no, bad start, totally unexpected.

I hoped my faves will forget 2008 and make a new start...
But Bondarenko lost to Czink, Vaidisova plays crappy (altough she won) and Danka was bagelled by Errani.
Hope Szavay will find back, or a bomb comeback from Golovin.

I'm so afraid due to Australian Open. Imagine Danka losing 1 or 2nd Round. Horrible.
