she gave that second set away after she got broken at 2-2

this season is horrible so far

i wonder if she will withdraw for Luxembourg , not cause of the time out , but that she just had enough of it

yup, a fast second set, only held serve once in that set. 2009 just can't come fast enough. I think with the new roadmap she'll be able to play a lot of tournaments without facing too many good players

I think she kind of gave up after being broken at 2-2. Honestly, Daniela has serious problem of believing in herself. She just couldn't hold serve although having a lead. I don't care about double actually, so I hope she withdraws and after that, either cut off her season earlier or go to Luxembourg.

I actually don't see the point why she wants to play double here. It is useless IMO.

What a ridiculous season. Very poorly planned out in my oppinion. She has been unwell and injured and rather than gradually getting back into the season she has played tournaments consistently since Wimbledon and has lost the majority of the matches she has played. There is not much point going to Luxembourg, although the field is slightly weaker. It's frustrating because Kirilenko is a player Daniela can face in draws and be confident about beating and she is someone she has a good record against. In the future now, Kirilenko is going to have a great deal of confidence when coming up against Daniela because she has had such a good win against her. So Kirilenko may well become a tough opponant in future draws for Daniela. A poor season overall, that should probably finish here. Daniela seems to want to drag it out unneccesarily.

Shit, this really sucks. I'm really disappointed that Daniela lost this match because Kirilenko isn't that good and she's hardly done anything against good players or in big tournaments this year. Kirilenko could have played really well but it's more likely that Daniela didn't play well and she only won 2 points out of 10 on her second serve in the second set. A good player would beat Kirilenko and it shows that Daniela's level right now or at least in this match wasn't good. This one hurts.

I'd like to know what happened at 5-4 in the first set because Daniela fell away after that.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Improved compared with the match v Zvonareva
but at the end of the day it's another 1st round disqualification.
Perhaps there was a minor injury, we will see that at the match report.
I believe that Dani will come back next season stronger
and she will rise at rankings but i think that it will happen very slowly.
No great expectations at Luxembourg, even if the entry list is not so strong.

After Aus open, she has very little to defend. I just hope she starts well because her ranking is going to take a big hit. Best of luck next year Dani.

for now though....I just want her to take the rest of the year off now and work hard because she has alot to work on for next season.

Now i won't see her... Hopefully she will advance with Szavay in Doubles... Go Agnes and Alona, now you are my only hopes...

Very disappointing... I don't think it's good to have such expectations for 2009. I hope we'll see the real Danka again. Because that shits just does hurt so much.

If there would not have been Safina, i'd have quit womens tennis. I can't believe what shitty Seasons Agnes, Danka, Nicole and Tatiana played. Just horrible. Go Dinara. My last hope.
