All Daniela needs is one really good tournament and she'll be back where she belongs i think both physically and mentally. Let's hope this is the one!

that's true. I have no expectation for this tournament, considering the strong list and her current form. It doesn't matter anymore how the draw looks like. It is just the matter if she can play better or worse.

Not the easiest of entry lists but no Dementieva next week so Daniela will be seeded six instead of seven, and therefore may be in the same quarter as one of the top two seeds (Jankovic or Ivanovic). Could turn out to be a good week if she is in the same section as Ivanovic who, like Daniela, is struggling to get to the latter stages of tournaments. With a good first round draw, Daniela could do well here in my oppionion. If she were to meet someone like Eranni or Knapp in the first round then I think she has a chance of going deeper into this tournament because with every win she'll gain confidence, which always helps the serve.

there is no difference in being seeded 6 or 7. The 5 to 8 seeds are randomly placed. I don't really care which seed she will be grouped with because chances are, she will not make it to the QF. All I want is a lowly ranked 1st round opponent so she can win at least one match. And I don't think we will be so lucky to get two lowly ranked players so she can reach QF.
If this sounds harsh, I am sorry. It is really not my intention, but I am super tired and don't have the energy to sound nicer.

i feel the same way...its just i know its a tough draw and it seems Daniela should work harder but she need to do her best and i'm still hoping she could win a match...just one match or two is a miracle...
please Daniela please...if there's only a chance she can read all our messages... :|

yeah i remember that match it was vs Kirilenko , who won the final vs Groenefeld , it was her first Title

I also remember she retired cause off the signs made by her father in the crowd
it was he who made the decision for her

It is an impressive entry list. It would be great if Daniela could make a return to form here.

Are you sure if she meets these two players, she will win???   For me now, every opponent is dangerous for Daniela.
I think Daniela is having a really hard time. It will hurt her confidence a lot when she tried so hard and ended up losing the match. Hopefully we don't have to see that again in this tournament. If she could just cut down those stupid UEs, life would be much more easier for her.
