I still believe she could turn it back. What I mean is we know her weakness, and she knows that even better but it looks like what she's been doing or training doesn't help. I think she and her team should find a better solution and in a short time.

After every bad loss I'm really disappointed, but the next week I'm positive again and believe that Daniela could make a good tournament. I don't know why, but I always stay positive.

Maybe Ana would be the best 2nd round opponent. Sounds strange when looking at the ranking, but I think Ana is at least as bad at the moment as Daniela is.

not a bad first round draw. had she been seeded 6th or 8th, she would have gotten wozniacki or zheng. so its not too bad. and dulko has lost first round in her last 5 tournaments or so.

really really REALLY hope she can start playing well in this tournament. im getting tired of her losses too. i believe she'll get there eventually. she showed glimpses of her AO form against sugiyama at the beijing olympics, so if she can just win those crucial points, im confident she'll start winning again!

First round is not bad, but the second one with Srebotnik.

Just hope she can manage to win the first round and then we will see.

Hmmm, Dulko. Hmmm, dont really know what to say, its gonna be tricky, if she gets through should be Srebotnik who she has an unbelievable record against. If she gets to Jankovic, I wouldnt get overly excited cause she will probably get trounced but still if she got that far I'd be delighted!!

Daniela must take advantage of this draw! Also i've really wanted daniela to play jankovic for like 2 years!

Dulko is really an unpredictable opponent. I think I have seen her playing several times, but every time is different. When she is on, she can play really well but she can play like craps the other day. So I think Daniela shouldn't underestimate her by any means especially when she is not in good form right now. Hopefully Daniela can at least win one match here.

It's kind of amazing considering how many tournaments both play (this year being the exception for Daniela), that they haven't played in 2 1/2 years. Here's hoping for one to two wins this week as I'd hate to see her to have to go through all of the travel and preparation necessary for a tournament and lose early again. I'd suspect she would play doubles again, so let's look out for that draw as well.

Daniela's scheduled to play tomorrow (Monday 22 September)

Here's the order of play for center court:

11:00AM START
WTA: Shvedova vs Pavlyuchenkova
WTA: Srebotnik/Sugiyama vs Ji/Sun (N.B 1:00PM)
WTA: Dulko vs Hantuchova (N.B 2:00PM)

fingers crossed she pulls out a win!

Daniela won't play doubles in Beijing.

strong field. Lots of interesting matches in the first round already. IMO Dulko is a good draw for Daniela. Lots of dangerous unseeded players, so it could have been much worse.
Dulko hasn't won a match since Wimbledon, is on a 6-match losing streak. Is 17-16 this year, 1-9 on Hard court, her only win being at Indian Wells against Ditty. She has beaten one top-30 player this year: Vaidisova on clay in Berlin.
Though she has had close matches with Radwanska (going to a 3rd set tie-break on clay and losing 75 75 on grass), Cornet on clay and Dementieva on grass: 76 75.
