Such a disappointing defeat especially after somehow claiming the 2nd set. I watched the first set and most of the second and Daniela was clearly short, very short, of confidence. Some of the volleys and drive volleys were awful and these were ones that anyone else on the tour would of put away simply and easily.

Its still been a fairly good week with back to back wins for the first time since her comeback but her confidence I believe is the lowest it has been since 2003. Her fitness seems to be ok, and people may criticize me for saying this, but I believe Daniela needs to speak to a sports psychologist in a bid to build her confidence.

Some of the shots, especially the volleys and drive volleys that i mentioned, were things that I would see in my own game down the park or at a club, they were god awful and that can only be down to a lack of confidence.

Unless Daniela goes on a surprise run between now and the end of the season, I dont see her producing any wins against anyone of note and if she gets to the close season low on confidence I dont see her finding it in her break.

Thats just my opinion, but Ive followed her now for 4 years and I have never seen anything like I did yesterday in the 2 sets of tennis that I watched. Confidence and mentality is half the battle, and Daniela doesnt have any confidence what so ever on court

WOW..
Patty win the match very easy..
63 60..

This shows that Dani loss to Paszek is because Dani play very bad yesterday..
Not that Tamira outclass Dani...

Schnyder has taken the title, and will pass Daniela in the rankings this coming Monday.

If my calculation is right, Dani will rank 13 with 1742 point behind of Patty(No 11) and Anna(No 12) after the point from Kolkata is taken off..

Is that right??

Daniela's worked with Jim Loehr in the past and she mentioned him after she won Indian Wells last year. Loehr's one of the top sports psychologists and he's worked with players like Agassi and Navratilova. I honestly don't know what the current situation is, but I'm sure that Daniela would be working with someone. Daniela's taking positives from her matches, but she's not in denial about things either.

true, I was already in next week's ranking. There she will be 13 as it stands now because she drops points from Kolkata
