I was off during the last week, as I was on holiday. So only a little review of the final.

That was really great tennis on a high level. Serena and also Jelena played great. But it wasn't only for the GS title but also for the number one spot. I think Jelena should have won the second set when she was up with a break, but she didn't close it. In a third set everything would have been possible. But also great tournament of Serena - winning without loosing a set.

One last point about the US Open: it's the second straight year that someone who's trained at Sanchez Casal's been a finalist. Maybe another Sanchez Casal player can go one better next year.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.
