I'm reading the "as it happens" on itf's homepage

1.42pm: Nicole Vaidisova and Radek Stepanek have been spotted in the canteen and it was certainly just lunch for two if you know what I mean!

lol

Im so glad danka is finding her form :D ... and Ai im hearing was playing really badly. Tha bad part is that Ai has time to regroup. Hope danka keeps her level and plays even better tomorrow. So unlucky with the rain...

Daniela's playing very well and is in a very strong position in the match. With the momentum she had, I'm sure she'd have won the match in straight sets if it hadn't rained. She still should, but as Helio mentioned the delay does give Ai time to regroup and this match still has to be won.

It really shows the benefits Daniela's had from being able to prepare at Sanchez Casal and go into a tournament fit and prepared and thus far, it's paid off.

Remember that the main concern before the tournament was the heat.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Was it? Perhaps for other players, but not for Daniela. She does well in hot conditions in general.
When I heard how hot it was in Beijing I was glad to be honest.

I agree. I almost feel that she thrives in the heat which gives her a good advantage over a lot of other players.

I didn't mean it specifically for Daniela who copes well with heat, but a lot of players had mentioned the heat and that was the general concern, but it ends up raining. I just found it a little ironic, that's all.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

she said something about the heat that she never experienced such a heat before but i guess it was ok
it wasn't that hot today anyway , they told that during the cycling race, even before the rain it wasn't hot

Thanks. Why isn't she (and the others whose matches are in progress) first up?
