Notes and Netcords on the WTA website has her down as being entered. But wouldnt surprise me if she has entered late and is waiting on a withdrawl. With an entry list that long it wont be long till someone withdraws Scott |

Tobi and TBE on tennisforum gave away the number of top-10 players and the number of top-20 players. However, when I compared that to the list from Montreal's official website, it didn't match. The number was one too high. I believe Daniela is in it already, no need to wait for a withdrawal. |

Can never expect anything less for a Tier I event. Its very very rare that an event of this stature wouldnt be riddled with top top players and thats certainly the case here Scott |

Tobi at Tennis Forum has said that Daniela has been removed from the tournament web site's entry list, but that she still appears on the internal one which he is familiar with. I guess we'll find out which is right soon enough. |

Of course, she would have had the easiest draw since her return had she played.  A qualifier followed by the winner of Niculescu and a qualifier.On the other hand, I said in the LA thread that she should bypass this event. She clearly has to work through some things and it's easier in a way on the practice court. For instance, if she's worried about her second serve, she can focus just on that. You can simulate whatever you want there whereas during a match, you cannot. This also saves her quite a bit of travel stress and allows her to get to Beijing earlier. That being said, I'm hoping she did not play because of the aforementioned reasons and not that she's still hurt or has acquired a new injury. There's no indication of that, and her words suggest the contrary but who knows? So in a way, I'm not happy that she pulled out because now we have to worry a bit.

dont know what to make of this... I wanted dani to have more match practice, but maybe she feels she's baging her head against a wall (loss after loss)... Hope she and her coach have a plan... Good luck with your preparation danka
