I don't even know if Daniela's going to be playing as she's not listed on the IPTL website and Lucic-Baroni is listed instead but she's still listed on the Japan Warriors website. We'll see if she's there or not tomorrow. Chances are that if she's there tomorrow, Daniela will be sitting on the bench behind Sharapova and Nara as Shazza's the big star and Nara's Japanese. If she's there then I'm sure she'll enjoy herself, if not she can prepare for 2016. |

OK TENNIS, an Italian site, in today's edition says Phillippe Kohlschireber and Mirjana Lucic-Baroni rimpiazzano Vasek Pospisil and Daniela Hantuchova on Japan Warriors. Those fluent in Italian know that word means replace. Another 4 weeks (at least) without Dani to cheer for. |

Sabine Lisicki And Daniela Hantuchova Withdraw From IPTL 02-12-2015 The Philippine Mavericks and Japan Warriors each lose a WTA player as they have withdrawn from the offseason event. With the IPTL set to kickoff, there have been a couple of withdrawals from the event. Novak Djokovic was the most prominent withdrawal and was replaced by Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka. On a lesser known scale, Daniela Hantuchova and Sabine Lisicki have also withdrawn from the event. Hantuchova was set to play for the Japan Warriors while Lisicki was on the Philippine Mavericks. The Rest Of The Japan Warriors Despite Hantuchova’s withdrawal, the team still has two more female singles players they could use. The Warriors have former world number one Maria Sharapova at their disposal. They also have a fellow Japanese women’s player, Kurumi Nara, at their disposal. To finish out the team, the Warriors have five male players. Their squad of males is led by 2014 US Open runner-up Kei Nishikori and one half of the 2014 Wimbledon doubles champions Vasek Pospisil. The team also has the likes of Marat Safin, Leander Paes, and Lucas Pouille. |

I caught the end of the Japan Warriors - Indian Aces match between Nishikori & Monfils. The crowd was absolutely dead, that's what no Daniela will do to people. Sharapova and Nara were on the bench and Sharapova played both singles and doubles. They're also the only two women listed on the Japan Warriors roster on the IPTL website. |

Does anyone care about this without Daniela? |

Not me. I'm wondering if Daniela has bought front row seats for Rio and the first Federer-Hingis match. |

Does anyone care about this without Daniela? Judging by the attendance, people aren't caring full stop. Even Federer-Nadal didn't sell out New Delhi. It would,of course, have been standing-room only had Daniela been there. |
