Dani might have been better off drawing Serena. Very bad luck of the draw facing a mad bomber who's on her game in this particular situation. Don't think she was still sick, just badly rusted. But here's the effect our gal has on me, and I'm sure you guys too. 2-6 0-5 0-40. Three MP's saved, and while she was doing it and winning the game, I was cheering her on about as hard as I ever have in 9 years as her fan. However everything else went bad today, that display of heart when a lot of players might already have retired, THAT'S Daniela! Hope for better things to come. |

The merry-go-round of doubles has always been a fascination for me. Yesterday, Errani won with Flavia as a new partner, while Vinci won with Karin Knapp. Cool. At this rate Daniela's next partner should either be Hingis or Helen Wills Moody. |
