Daniela's doubles is the fourth match on Court 17 on Monday after a women's doubles, a men's doubles and then a mixed doubles, play starts at 11:30 am.

Look, I know I'm weird, but anyone else here thinking how strange it is that Dani has been on Court all of twice yet is still in play? She's had a lot of career firsts in the 2010's……is her first doubles Slam and 20th overall title possibly on the horizon?

I don't see them getting past Vesnina and Macaroni Cheesd. But hope they give their all!

I think Daniela has not find her stride in doubles since the Sugiyama years. I do wish they had gotten that Australian Open; the pairing up with Agnieska seemed really encouraging though, but of course that couldn't last.

She beat Cornet today so she's in the quarter-final.

Makarova's started her singles match against Radwanska so it'll probably be a while before Daniela's doubles match starts.

It's raining again so I doubt Daniela's going to play today. Makarova gave Radwanska a complete beasting so she'll have a lot of momentum although I think she should save herself for singles and withdraw from doubles.

Some good news is that apparently Daniela's going to be commentating on Australian tv later in the week.

Just another aggravating day, several days, actually, as a Daniela Maniac. Did you guys see how Serena had the unmitigated gall to say that everyone plays their best game against her and not so much against the other players? Man oh man! We here in the Forum, who live with that happening against Dani all the time, have zero sympathy for you, Serena!
If this frigging match is not scheduled to be first up tomorrow, somebody ought to be gunned down.

It'll probably be on later as Makarova is still in singles and singles will always be scheduled first.

Spot on as usual, Chungwit. Makarova plays Safarova on Court 1 at 1:00 PM London time. At the moment only a partial order of play has been released. I understand that it's actually supposed to be sunny and nice tomorrow.

Maybe Makarova will drop out of doubles like Daniela did in Birmingham last year.
Now I have checked the official Wimbledon site and the draw says that Makarova/Vesnina are to play Georges/Groeneveld in the next round. Just what is going on here?
Checked again. The 5th match on Court 12 tomorrow is Makarova/Vesnina vs. Georges/Groeneveld. So which one dropped out, Dani or Lucic? Good Lord, I feel sick to my stomach. (Maybe Daniela felt that if this kept on going like this, she might miss her first couple of matches of World Team Tennis!)

Vesnina confirms the walkover on her twitter account. I have a feeling it is Lucic as she had an injury last week in Eastbourne so maybe it flared up again.

Hope Daniela is ok but this is the 2nd year in a row where Daniela's team has withdrawn from doubles at Wimbledon. Very frustrating.

Overall the grass court season this year was pretty dismal. Daniela seems to do well on grass in alternate years so hopefully next year she can get a nicer draw and wij a match at Wimbledon. Daniela needs to really do well in the USOpen series to get a seed for the last GS of the year.

My guess, unless either of them had something flare up in practice, is that Daniela felt she was being jerked around. When the first rain delay ended, Makarova finished her singles match in one game (one point for all I know). There could have been maybe a half hour delay to get her to Court 17 and a tiny bit of rest. Instead, the powers that be moved Kops-Jones/ Spears from 16 to 17. Daniela may well have been much pissed, having already waited 4 days. We may never know, but I wouldn't be shocked if that's the real reason.

I find that hard to believe Daniela would give up a chance to win a grand slam doubles match just because she waa fed up of waiting...hopefully we'll get some answers in the next few days..
