God, those comments Daniel a made of Serena are a bit silly. Hope Serena doesn't decide to punish her.

Won't make a difference-Serena will be hungry to blast Daniela off court for the win whatever Daniela says. :?

Just want Daniela to enjoy herself out there and have no regrets. If Daniela can get off to a good start and snatch the first set, who knows what could happen. The longer the match goes on the better for Daniela.

But that Wimbledon match went for too long and it didn't help her one bit

Also, I just hope she can win at least 3 games per set, then it would be respectable. Daniela has no weapons to trouble Serena, sadly. Serena is only troubled with good counterpunchers and when someone can use power as consistently as she does (which happens almost never since Venus went off form).

3rd round:

0-1, Williams holds to 30.
1-1, Daniela holds to 0.
1-2, Williams holds from 15-40 with a couple of aces.
2-2, Daniela holds to 30, was at 40-0.
2-3, Williams holds from 0-30.
2-4, Williams breaks to 15.
2-5, Daniela had a BP at 30-40, but Williams saved it with a service winner and Daniela had a netcord go against her at deuce.
3-5, Daniela holds to 30 with a great backhand down the line passing shot.
3-6. Daniela was 15-40 up but Williams belted down some aces to hold for the set. I wish that bitch that keeps on squawking out "Come on Serena" after every point would shut the fuck up.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Daniela gets a bit happy trigger when she has a chance to win the point. Come on before Serena wakes up!

And that's all the difference... took Serena no time to seize her bp. Damn. Also, Daniela made some horrible UE.

2nd set:

0-1, Williams breaks to 15.
0-2, Williams holds to 15.
1-2, Daniela holds to 30. Wins the game with a great down the line backhand.
1-3, Williams holds to 30.
2-3, Daniela holds to 15.
3-3, Daniela breaks to 0.
3-4, Daniela broken to 15.
3-5, Williams holds to 15. Can someone please shoot that Come on Serena bitch.
3-6, Williams wins on her 4th MP. Williams got everything back when Daniela was dictating the rally at 15-0 and Daniela just put the ball out and then another net cord went against her pushing her shot just out to give Williams her 4th MP.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

It was not only aces, though, Daniela made some silly mistakes when she had chances. Serena is gonna breeze through this second set, I bet.

I just wish Daniela would just impose herself a bit more visibly on court. She just seems a bit docile.

Much better breaks back to 3-3, but then Serena breaks 3-4....that was Daniela's chance....

A real shame that Daniela couldn't force Serena to serve out in the sun...but Daniela was no disgrace...a better draw and she could have made it deeper here...

Let's hope for a deep run in doubles.

Predicted 6-3, 6-4, didn't miss by much. I'm (surprise) relatively OK with this. Yeah, 1st serve was far from strong and most of the time she missed when she was going for lines and corners, which was really the only thing she could do. But, Dani did break Serena for the first time in the tourney (it was the only BP of the 6 she had that she had any chance at all to convert) and didn't get killed. Beating Serena requires a lot of luck, and every bounce, especially the one in the last game, went the wrong way The only luck Daniela had was some UE's by Serena on 2nd set and the two shocking misses on easy putaways. The frustration to me was how one-sided the 3-3 game was after Dani got the break. (Also having to listen to the Serena Testimonial by Navratilova and Tracy Austin on Tennis Channel, which also missed the 1st game of the 2nd set to do a segment with Jim Courier. And that lady....one of us needed to be there to yell Let's Go Daniela and drown her out!)
I'm left hopeful. Daniela's fight and passion are still there. She can still have a really good year. And hey, there's still doubles with two experienced winners as partners. :)

Let's Go, Daniela!

I'm amazed another watches tennis in America, or at least doesn't have the match on mute, the commentators are so fucking obnoxiously bad, they always parp out garbage and are so biased towards one of the players.

Dead on, Chungwit. I began with the mute button on because this has forever been true, especially in Daniela's appearances. But my wife came in to watch with me; she owns the remote and wanted the sound on. That was at 2-2 in the first. From that point on I counted one game (Dani's break to 3-3 in the 2nd) and one other point where Daniela was complimented. Revolting. :x

I hate to ruin anyone's idea of a still smouldering feud between today's participants, but on FB and Twitter, Daniela called Serena the best player ever and congratulated her, and on the WTA site, Serena, believe it or don't, gave our gal some props (I'll let you read it for yourselves). And they were quite civil at net at the end of the match. Sorry, TMZ!

Let's Go, Daniela!
