hehehe, just figured out how to rip the live stream from Stanford. The quality sucks, but it is better than nothing. Recording the second set of Cibulkova vs Petrova now.

I have just written an extensive report in the Slovak forum and have no energy anymore to write it here as well. Let me just say that Daniela played okay, won most of the crosscourt exchanges she was involved in and held serve. Petrova on the other hand looked like it was her first ever doubles match. Totally clueless as what to play, held her serve maybe once in the whole match. I haven't seen such a bad display since Kuznetsova vs. Chakvetadze semifinal at the US Open 2007.

good to hear I guess. I had my alarm set for 1.40 a.m. tonight, but feel a sleep again. Woke at 3 a.m. only to see them leave court. But since they lost, I don't care so much about it.

Hopefully Danka had her revenge this time..
Based on the last match Sugi played, she definitely had a tough time..
So, Danka really need to take it as an advantage then!

similar to me, though i didn't set alarm, but stayed up instead.
But then, durung the warmup i must have fallen asleep and woke up around 5am
my computer is placed in front of my bed at the moment.. not the best conditions to stay awake :D

Daniela's match is scheduled third, and will probably start around 1am CET, if not earlier.
If she really found her fitness again, she should have no real problems with Sugiyama, but Sugi is a fighter.. Anyway good luck Daniela, this night i will definately not sleep until the match has finished

At least Daniela played fairly well in the doubles and she got a chance to get used to the court before the singles. Ai wasn't exactly convincing against Glatch but will still be a tough opponent for Daniela.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Shame about the doubles, but good to hear that Daniela played well. Hope for a good evening in the singles

Too bad Daniela lost in doubles, but singles are more important anyway. Hope for a good match against Sugiyama. A win and a good performance would be so important for Daniela's convidence. Hopefully she can make it.
