I'm so nervous, this is horrid because the match is right here for Daniela, but she rarely get's off to a good start in matches. I can't remember the last time she broke serve in the opening game of match/resumption...

It was worth the 4 hour rain delay but in typical Daniela style kept us on the edge of our seat.

Thanks Eddy for posting the Glushko match youtube link. I watched that during the rain delay. Even knowing the out come it was a nailbiter!!

2 nailbiters in one day. Can't wait for the next one.

Bloody weather-missed the end of the match,and I'm sure Daniela would have closed it in straights if not for the interruption,she was playing flawless tennis.

What shoulder problem :) 15 aces and the stats don't flatter her-she was serving that well.

Interesting stat: 500 points is the most points Daniela's earnt in one tournament since AO 2008. Let's hope she can get even more!

It Don't Come Easy! Dani just keeps coming across these young guns who have the crowd behind and look like they're going to get her and teaches them lessons on how to finish. I was able to watch before the delay, and for 15 games she was a thing of beauty. Strong on serve and constantly outsmarting Riske. Can't wait to see the rest on tape tonight, particularly to hear how ofter Mary Carillo and John McEnroe, both of whom kept talking incessantly about her nerves, bury her when she drops the 2nd. Another superb display of Daniela's resilience. Very much worth the wait, right guys?
