I don't know if Daniela's going to be playing here but she's still on the entry list and I've not heard anything about her withdrawing. The earliest tournament that we can be reasonably sure that Daniela's going to be play would be Brussels because she's entered the doubles there with Dominika Cibulkova. I just hope that if Daniela plays here she doesn't exacerbate her health problems and that she's able to do herself justice. If she does play it would be great to get a seeding although I think she'd miss out by a place at the moment :x

We'll just so what happens here, whether Daniela plays or not, what her fitness is and what her form is. More than anything I want Daniela to be fit and playing her best tennis.

Totally agree, Chungwit. But, while I know this bubble will soon burst, it's so funny to watch Dani's ranking rise while she is out. There's a site called tenismaclari.com that updates rankings every day based on that day's results, and Daniela's up to #17 on that site, slipping ahead of Jankovic :!: Plus, she's posting far more often on FB, Twitter et al than she normally does. Maybe she'll give us a medical update soon. Let's Go, Daniela!

Sabine Lisicki has to pull out of the Mutua Madrid Open due to an ankle injury. Elena Vesnina will take her place in the main draw.

But i'm still not sure if daniela will play here... the draw will made on friday and play starts at saturday!

It also says there that Dani's time in the top 20 is over. Just have to live with that. Take your time, young lady, and come back strong.

It would have been nice if Daniela was fit enough to play, but she isn't and she has to make sure that she's fully fit and healthy before she comes back. This is a big tournament but there are more important tournaments coming up where she has a lot of points to defend. If it's frustrating for us that Daniela's hardly been able to play over the past few months, how bad must she be feeling?

Get well soon Daniela.

I'd imagine Daniela will withdraw from Brussels as well, and Roland Garros is no certainty. Her best chances are in Birmingham, Eastbourne, and Wimbledon (for The Championships and the Olympics), and I expect she wants to be 100% fit for these events.

Daniela OUT of Brussels, what a nightmare! I so hope she still enters Roland Garros.
