I'm feeling the same way. Patti. Dani and Aga really look like they have it together. They beat Vinci/Errani in New York, as we recall. Here's hoping!
Now, why I keep trying to figure out the rankings is beyond me. I hope to be corrected on this, but as I see it, Ivanovic will pass Daniela, leaving her stuck at #21. Top 20 just seems so frustratingly elusive!

Let's Go, Daniela!

I had my chances but I bolted, saying Hantuchova
Daniel Šarga | 21. January 2012 8:29

Slovak participation in the tennis singles championship Friday after Australia's history. After Lukas Lacko finished in third Cycling in Melbourne and Daniela Hantuchova. She stopped her former world number one advocate and also due to Kim Clijsters - won 6:3, 6:2. It was the eleventh game of the two mutual hráčok a 28-year-old Belgian triumphed tenth time. "Kim is a great champion, but I did not play the way I wanted," Hantuchova said in a joint interview with Slovak media.

Belgian casinos dominate, but the status of 0:1 in the second set you have three options to take its administration and failed. Why?
I ruined recorded forehand. The same thing happened before the first game. Chances I also was formed, but in crucial moments I wasted splašila. And that was the difference. Rival its potential use.

The status of 3:4 First Set you take the time to treat ankle. What happened to it?
I am stuck in it. In the second - third GEMET I began to feel. It's the ankle that I twisted before the tournament in Brisbane and I did not want to take unnecessary risks. They gave me a tejp to be solidified.

It's the continuation of an impact player?
I was sometimes late in the legs backhand, subconsciously, I can conserve, but it has absolutely nothing to do with how it all works out. Kim played very well and deservedly won.

With new coach Claudio Pistolesi you have agreed on a preliminary cooperation by the end of the Australian Open. Will you continue?
Now you certainly sit down and see. We have not transposed it, but we should continue.

During three weeks in Australia you have collected seven victories and three losses. You were also in the final tournament in Brisbane. Satisfied?
I am very satisfied with the fact that I lost only with toys that are currently among the best, so Clijsters, Kvitova and Kanepi. I am delighted finals in Brisbane, but the quarter-finals in Sydney. At the same time I am also surprised.

Why?
For new things that we trained so far on my game really do not show. Yet they do not like to be able to transfer games. This means that this casino games can be much better. It's even more incentive to toil for him. But now I'm looking forward to the month in Australia, home to the family.

In Melbourne, still continues in doubles with Polka Radwanska?
Yes. The Aga we had the last time on the court very taken and I believe that we will continue to thrive. But it is mainly for fun, so the outcome does not matter.

If you had from the Australian tour to select a best match, who would it be?
The best I ran against Clijsters in Brisbane. Herne the game, I would include the level of last year when I beat Caroline Wozniacki in Paris at Roland Garros. We appreciate it. Showed me that I can play with toys the best balanced game.

Clijsters may think of the current form of the defense overall victory in Australia?
It is the player whose form gradually during the tournament grade. Therefore, always be thinking about winning. Plays aggressive tennis based on the glorious movement and it's great warrior.

"It shows that Kim is in our mutual battle in Brisbane learned. Today she played from the beginning actively and intently, got me under pressure. I did not exercise such as in Brisbane, which I certainly regret it grandslam has much greater prestige than ordinary tournament . In Melbourne I had higher ambitions, but it must be lost in today's lessons and move on. GEMET Already in the second I started to feel tingling in the left ankle during warm-up even though everything was totally fine. A month ago I had him bore and I did not want deterioration of health risk, so I asked for the status of 3:4 medical time out and let my ankle zatejpovať. In the next minutes, I was a little cautious backhand, I was late on his feet. ankle but certainly not the main cause of losses. Kim played well and won deservedly. Škoda recorded fore at the beginning of the second game in the third brejkbale that I ruined. These are the balls that against such a great player, such as Kim, to be used. She unlike me converted their chances and it is here the difference between toys and the top of the others. Therefore, Kim won so many tournaments, they can capitalize on such opportunities," Hantuchova said in a conference call with Slovak media.

"Introduction of the season I went well beyond expectations. I won a lot of difficult matches and lost only Kanepi, Kvitova and Clijsters, who now have a super form. I was especially pleased with the final course in Brisbane. I did not expect that the early manifestations of the things We Makalu in winter training. There is still room for improvement, and today's game showed that the casinos can be much better, which is great motivation. Waiting has a long way, I have to be especially patient. Pistolesi with a coach, we had a preliminary agreement to end Australian Open. When you sit down with Melbourne and evaluate it, but I'm very happy and I think that our cooperation will continue for the next tournaments. After a busy month in Australia is already very much look forward to family and friends. After returning from Melbourne to I'll pause a few days. get some rest and stop, I will be disabled in order and begin to prepare for fedcupový match with France in Bratislava. Then he waits title defense in Pattaya. It will be difficult, I almost collapsed last year, because after fedcupovom match with the Czech Republic I had no rest day and now I had to fly to Asia. I hope I can manage this difficult transition," said Hantuchova.

Wow. Radwanska crushed Goerges 6-1, 6-1. Among other things that means Daniela stays in the top 20 for now (pending clijsters, Zheng and Errani's results).

You've got to believe that this is a good chance for Daniela and Agnieszka to go on a deep run in the doubles as they've had convincing wins in their previous matches, Agnieszka's doing well in the singles so her confidence and form will be high and Errani's got a singles match earlier on so hopefully that lasts 3 hours.

Pretty amazing match between Kim Clijsters and Li Na with Clijsters overcoming an ankle injury and 4 MPs to win 6-4 in the third.

Tomas Berdych refused to shake hands with Nicolas Almagro in the mens so the crowd went ape and booed him all the way through his on-court interview. He evidently enjoyed Madrid 06 so much he wanted to repeat the experience. Is it really wise to piss off a Spaniard and the crowd before you play Nadal?

I got most of the match. Daniela and Agnieszka were the better team in the first set as they bossed a lot of the rallies while Errani & Vinci hustled and got a lot of balls back. I feel that Daniela & Agnieszka should have won the first set but they were a wee bit sloppy and let it slip. In the second set, they just didn't play that well and faded away while Errani & Vinci raised their level and played some good tennis.
Daniela had her ankle strapped and Agnieszka's thigh was strapped.

Errani's in the quarter-finals against Kvitova, chances are that's going to be a bloodsport. Oh yeah, Serena Williams got a doing from Makarova :D

Earplugs at the ready folks, it's an all loud women final and they're turning up the volume.

Errani & Vinci are in the doubles final so it puts Daniela and Agnieszka's loss to them in a bit of perspective.

Members of Slovak tennis team fedcupového well as all sports with the public recognition of the heroic viewed almost 6-hour finale Sunday's men's singles at the Australian Open in Melbourne, where Serb Novak Djokovic defeated Spaniard Rafael Nadal.

"I did not see the whole match. I had a chance for him to train, lunch and a sleep," said with a laugh Dominika Cibulkova and said: "My favorite was Nadal, I prefer it. Too bad he did not win."

Daniela Hantuchova favor was on the opposite side: "In the fifth before that game, I root for 'Djokimu'. After three forehand gave the fourth set tie-break in, I would not want to be in his skin, if it ultimately failed. Such a play would certainly terribly hurt. Probably just like the one Nadal backhand. All tennis players can be pleased that we are playing at the same time as they write history."

Magdalena Rybarikova noted: "It was something incredible. I am still rooting for. We wish you like it to have all won when Federer knocked my loved ones."

Jana Cepelova confessed: "Although my favorite was Nadal, Federer when he defeated. Škoda missed that one backhand. I think if he hits, he would have won."
