I was at the doubles match just now. Daniela and cibulkova were perfect. Kerber and barthel weren't actually that bad but Dani and domi had all the answers..!! They can definitely do well here if they carry on like this.

:!: Can we call this....Double(s) D-Day, Daniela and Dominika?! Eddy, did you ask for your money back? I mean, a match Daniela's in taking 45 minutes?!?! You might have caught a small piece of history with that! ;) One can only hope that this is the start of something big for Dominika and Dani.

Let's Go, Daniela!

It must have been fantastic to see Daniela & Dominika win so easily against good players, eddy.

How did Daniela look, eddy? Did she have any strapping on her leg and how did she seem compared to Eastbourne and the Hampton match? Just out of interest, did anything happen in the sixth game of the second set? The scoreboard went from 15-40 2MPs to Daniela and Dominika to 30-30.

I was also at this match. Good choice...

Personally, I found Daniela very enthusiastic and happy to play. Also, it seems that she was leading the team.
No trace of injury or strapping.

I'll some post some photos and a small video a bit later

There's a site called Mail.com. It appears to be like an online newspaper. On 6/27 they ran an article containing predictions of who the medalists would be in tennis at the Olympics. I do not dare state what it said; it would be the ultimate jinx. You're invited to peek at it yourself...you may like what it says. It can also be found by putting Daniela's name on Google and clicking on Blogs. It is worth noting that the article was written before Daniela/Dominika played their 1st round match.

Let's Go, Daniela!

This is depressing. It's Daniela's worst Wimbledon as she'd always won a singles match here and she only won one match in the doubles. A run in the doubles would have been some consolation for the singles, same goes for Dominika. Hlavackova & Hradecka are one of the top doubles teams and are slam winners while this is only Daniela and Dominika's third match together (they played doubles against France in Fed Cup in 2009) so there'd be a big difference in teamwork and experience.

I know that Daniela's incredibly determined and motivated and that she'll keep working hard. I just hope that her body and health holds up because if she's fit then she'll go up the rankings again. I hope that she's able to do well in the hardcourt season and especially at the Olympics. She's due some luck as this year started so well but Daniela's been blighted by illness and injury ever since. Get well and stay strong, Daniela.

Since I have expessed more than once my belief that we may not have Daniela to cheer for all that much longer, what really, really sucks about this year after the promising start is the long periods of time she's out of action. I can't imagine she would play anywhere before the Games, so that's another month. :( And this would be the time of year that Dani spends almost 2 months in the US, something none of us Americans really mind! Then, as for the medal we all want her to get, as Chungwit pointed out, she's now played 4 times with Dominika, paling in comparison to many of the top teams. I guess I'll go to lyrics from Jefferson Starship: If only you believe in miracles, so will I! Let's Go, Daniela!

Daniela will be #33 when the rankings come out unless Paszek makes the final. Not so bad considering she's barely won a match these past few months.

Comon Daniela time to be revitalised!

Apparently JPR Williams didn't win Junior Wimbledon back in 1966, he just won some British junior tournament held at Wimbledon. It was some Soviet guy that won instead. It was an urban myth all along.

When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.

Hlavackova & Hradecka are in the doubles final so it puts Daniela & Dominika's result in the doubles into perspective. You wonder how they could have done if the draw had been different.
