Another break and a hold from Daniela give her the opening set by six games to one. Perhaps Pavlyuchenkova is a little fatigued and mentally jaded.

She's won the first set 6:1, did just enough. AP playing really spotty tennis. Maybe she's tired from her run in Dubai and here. She doesn't appear to be the fittest player.

Daniela wins the first set 6-1. This was much more a case of her opponent playing poorly, but Daniela handled herself well and took care of business.

Super :D

First set is ours!

But Danielas not playing as well as yesterday, she should level up, cos Pavlyuchenkova will barely have those UE comming again, I think.

true, she doesn't play well at all, and Daniela just had to avoid errors and make some good winners to get this set.

hopefully it continues like that

AP played well that last game and Dani seemed to be completely out of it. I wonder if AP can continue like this?

Daniela needs to take it to Pavlyuchenkova now having won the first set convincingly. Why she decides to play a drop shot and then stay back I don't know. It just makes her look very defensive and she ends up losing the point. Now a break for Pavlyuchenkova, oh dear, momentum GONE.

Out of nowhere, Pavlyuchenkova hits three winners (as many as she had in the first set) and goes up 2-0 in the second.

I'm not really a fan of AP's game. Similar to Klebanova they just seem to play mindless ball bashing.

Surprise, surprise. Daniela win's the first set with ease and then decides not to turn up in the second and is already a double break at 4-0 down. If there's one thing you can guarantee with Daniela, it's that she will frustrate the hell out of you. Pick it up Daniela!

Really not enjoying this match at all...Daniela looks so weak compared with Pav...

This is really scary...

That was better, avoids the bagel 6-1 1-5

6-1 1-6 Hope Daniela wakes up and to be honest Pav's level drops...a lot...

Daniela's never won a tournament final in 3 sets...

I can't remember a match where Daniela took a toilet break after the 2nd set and won....why does she do it??
