Too bad... considering her chances against Serena are slim and Hantuyama could have another great tournament. But of course Id rather danka to focus on singles, its Grand Slam after all. Dont get the flying home thing... shouldnt she rest it up in london? Flying wont do her good... |

I doubt Daniela would fly home seeing as she can see several doctors here...seems bonkers i won't believe this rumour until i see it on the draw - please send us the link of the article on bbc website as i can't find it. I'm sure she wouldn't do this to Ai. |

i think it's better for her health to stay in england. She only has stress, she has to go to airport, the flight and getting back.. No things to get healthy IMO Can't understand her in this point |

Hantuchova sorry for 'Sugi' Daniela Hantuchova apologised to her doubles partner after knocking her out of the women's singles. Hantuchova, who is unseeded at Wimbledon for the first time since 2004, came from a break down in the first set to gain a 6-4 6-3 victory over Ai Sugiyama, of Japan. "It's never a nice feeling having to play Sugi because she's one of my best friends," said Hantuchova. "We've got such a great history together. Hantuchova added: "She's a great person so winning or losing I knew always it was going to be a strange feeling for me, so I just tried to take it as another tennis match and not to think that she was on the other side. I said sorry after the match." Hantuchova, from Slovakia, has been struggling with 'flu this week but will have the weekend to fully recover for her fourth-round match against Serena Williams, against whom she has already lost twice at Wimbledon. Source: Press Association Other article: P.S. For slovak media Daniela says nothing about she will left London for recovery. But the doubles are still in doubt. |

It wasn't a news article. The presenter of the BBC's tennis coverage (Sue Barker) anounced earlier today when discussing Serena and Daniela that Daniela was ill and was heading home and would hopefully be back for Monday's match. |

Daniela's recovering from flu? That's terrible. I can barely even walk on days from that, let alone play tennis. |

Daniela's still entered in the doubles. |

Home being the house Daniela's staying in in London. I don't think so. She said going home for the weekend. I doubt she is going to be in the doubles tomorrow. Maybe she's changed her mind. We can only wait. |

I've played sport with the flu. The actual competition isn't so bad,you can dose up on the paracetemol and take a lozenge for the throat and you should be able to get through, but you feel absolutely wretched afterward-no doubt Daniela is feeling the same thing. I find it amazing that she was ordered to take 10 days of bedrest and yet she has been able to play the way she has .I hope the doctors were just being overcautious! Isn't her family already in London? I could have sworn I saw Igor jnr at her matches. |

Daniela would just have gone back home to wherever she was staying in London. Igor's been at all her matches, Benji. |
