danka making many errors now
And just got broken, danm... come on danka!
Daniela breaks to love, yeah!

well she is making a lot of winners as well, 9 winners to 6 UEs. When she broke back, she was hitting those returns with a lot of power. I think she is playing well, except her serve, I would perfer if she got more first serves in.

Yes, when she's serving I get so nervous... Its a very random serve, results-wise :?
Well, more nice winners for a 5-2 lead ;) Break for the set dani!

I agree completely. Except for the serve, she has played quite well. She has minimized the errors and it's not as if she hasn't gone for winners.

Danka shouldve tanken this game... some silly UE are to blame... Hope she closes now!
Great the random serve gives an ace :P
Another ace... close it 40-30
Almost got near BP cause of UEs... but she made it, 1st for danka!... make the 2nd even more easy daniela :)

Nice 1st set ..
2 aces , 65% of 1st serves , 16 winners to 12 UE .. A lot better than the stats of the previous round :p
keep it up

a couple of extra UEs in the last game, but still 16 winners to 12 UEs, very good IMO. 2 great aces, second serve still better than all of last year and 2007.
Total points 34 for Danka, only 22 for Johansson, that is a very big difference when it is only 3 games Danka has won more.

And Daniela broke the 1st game to love !

Johansson had 48% of 1st serves and only won 42% of them .. Daniela won 65% on her 1st and 64% on her 2nd

Daniela has far more weapons than Johansson, see 16 to 4 in winners. They are similar in movement and even the serves are comparable (probably a slight edge to Daniela in both), but Daniela's groundstrokes are superior. Still, Johansson can get the ball back well enough, so she can be trouble if Daniela gets error crazy.

But a break to love to start the second helps!

Mathilde breaks back. Daniela came very, very close to an ace at 40-30. No hawkeye.

It's not all Daniela's fault ..
Johansson is improving her game ..

Johansson has a funny motion when serving... danka wasted 1 BP
2 DF in a row

yup agree - she has especially cut down on the errors. But as long as Daniela stays focused I think she will win in ss
