Stosur holds for a 5-3 lead, Daniela now serving to stay in the match. *Daniela has actually won more points than Stosur...*

Stosur wins 6-4 2-6 6-4. A tough loss for Daniela given the momentum she built up during the second set.
Total points won: Stosur 86, Daniela 87.

More rackets will be broken in the locker room. Daniela just can't get some luck and come through these incredibly close matches. At least she wasn't a break up in the last set. How many more of these tough losses can she take? She's obviously playing well but the coin keeps landing on the wrong side. All the best in Madrid and Rome. And hope she can still keep her head held high. These losses physically make me feel awful so goodness knows what she must feel like.

:wall:

It's just ridiculous that she can keep on losing these kind of matches-losing her serve from 40-15 up in the crucial game.

Yeh it's got to be tough given that she's played well pretty much since the first Fed Cup tie, but her results are not reflecting her level of play, and her ranking certainly isn't reflecting her year so far or her quality...

This is another kick in the gut. Daniela plays well and wins more points but Stosur wins the last point.
Thinking back it's amazing that Daniela was able to do as well as she did in this tournament considering how devastating the Fed Cup was to her mentally and physically. She got a straight sets win against Dulgheru, who's a good clay courter and then she played well against the Roland Garros finalist who was rested and spent the weekend preparing for this tournament.

"First I want to say that it was a miracle when I played here ever since, as I felt on Monday morning without sleep, and minutes after the physical and emotional stress - Sunday's six hours on court. In my life I was so tired . I closed my eyes and I saw fly balls to me ...," said Daniela Hantuchova SITA and added: "I do not know myself, as I struggle with the utorňajší Dulgherovou mastered. gemoch The first one was not all me. I had 'zatejpovať 'weaknesses, I stretched it, now I'm in' physio 'and still go to ultrasound. Today it was really great match, great tennis on both sides. Still there was the fatigue, but also a chance. It was possible for one ball, even the I got sum in addition, the few but important to me in the third set fled. SUPERKOV perfectly served, for the service was great pressure. I had a very playful, in the second set I has shown a great and despite everything I could think of to win. shame ... I feel that I have casinos, where necessary, but I have to start winning these games."

Hantuchova should be present near the beginning of May on clay outside of Madrid, where he finally played the 2007 season - the 'hard' in the hall - on WTA World Cup competitions. "Certainly now three - four days off. Yet I see what my doctors say to those weaknesses. Hopefully it will not be anything serious. In the middle of next week I should move to Madrid."

Slovak Fed rekordérka returned to Bratislava and the weekend drama, in which the home team lost to Serb in the match for the World Group in 2012 just 2:3: "I am terribly sorry, what was the response to Slovakia after the fact there one heart and can transmit to the maximum. get me hurt, which I then read. If I let everything there ... It cost me the tournament, after the match I did not sleep a minute, there was a huge effort. Already on Sunday after 2.5-hour singles I felt the groin, a quarter of an hour I rested and I have not played doubles 3.5 hours. I wonder who could handle it physically. And then such a response - it really hurts enough ... "
@ google translation.

"It was a good quality match, so I am very happy to get through that one," Stosur said.

"It's nice to win two games back to back, it's a good feeling especially at this time of year."

"It's an important time and I would like to get back the form and the kind of results I had last year."

"Especially with how I have been playing recently, the main focus is just to play well and play each point."

"Getting through matches helps the confidence, I'd have taken a win in two (sets) today, if it goes to three at least I know I can tough it out."

"Physically, it's no problem, but mentally to tough out the match after losing the second set, and not get down, was good. As soon as I got a chance, I broke back and that is really pleasing for me."

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

The translation is a bit hard to decipher-does this mean the Slovak press went to town on her after the Fed Cup tie?
