Struggled a lot, it seems. Hope she can play much better in the semi-final. Not an ecouraging performance, but at least she got through

That was really a close match. I'm so glad Daniela could close this match.

After the first set, I was quite relaxed a tought that this will be another comfortable win, but then the match changed completely. At the end I'm just happy.

Now into the final I hope.

This was a match about guts and fighting and Daniela showed her desire and will to come through her struggles and a tricky opponent for her first semi-final sine the Australian Open and her first three match winning streak since Indian Wells 08. Winning without playing well and having to fight for every point will help her confidence as she'll know she can win when below her best and hopefully this has a liberating effect for the rest of the tournament. There have been so many times when Daniela's struggled to win a match like this but has played great in the next match. The ranking points are nice too.
