Very pleased with Daniela's win today, and great that it comes in the Fed Cup at a time when Slovak Republic have a chance to go into the World Group following tough losses to the Czech Republic during the World Group 2 stage the past couple of years that have set them back. Perhaps just as importantly, Daniela has beaten Cornet, a tough rival, on clay, in France, with the crowd against her.
Hopefully Cibulkova can back up Daniela's win with a win over Mauresmo, someone she has beaten on three ocassions, and never lost to (although all three matches have been tight, particularly their 2008 meeting in Tokyo). Current scoreline: Cibulkova 6-4 *2-5 Mauresmo.

Well Dominika losing has made this tie more interesting because I think with a two match lead Slovak Republic would have probably gone through, even if it went down to the doubles. As it stands, France could get two singles wins tomorrow and go through, so the pressure is once again back on Daniela to get a win over Mauresmo, or for Dominika to beat Cornet (which I thought was quite possible before she just lost to Mauresmo). Either scenario, one win will be enough to see them through to the doubles, but obviously two wins would secure their place without the need for a deciding match, and would also mean a very sweet 3-1 victory over main-stay World Group 1 team France.

I really hope Domi can win tomorrow vs. Cornet! Altough it would be great to see Danka winning her singles, Domi losing her singles and Danka (pairing up with Rybarikova) winning the doubles, prove that she's da real Slovakian Number 1! Wish her all the best against Momo!

Wow, great result Daniela, shame Domi couldnt follow it up for the Slovaks, but still a massive result for Daniela and that will have to boost her confidence going into this next stage of the season. Well done Daniela on arguably the best result of the year so far.

Great win Dominika. That was fighting and battling for it. There were so many momentum changes and she looked like she was going to win easily at 3-0 in the second set but when she was 1-4 down in the third it didn't look too good but Dominika came through.

Come on Daniela and win this.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.
