That was just an incredible last game. I got crazy when I saw how Daniela wasted all the match points, especially on second serve.

At least she took the, I guess, 7th one to finish the match.

I counted "only" 6 mps

At last Daniela won the match. I didnt get to see it, the guys who watched it may tell us about it.
It seems that Dani did good in the first but something went wrong in the second.
Anyway, Dani advanced in the second round and right now that is what actually counts.
By the way, i hate it when it happens, Dani wasted 5 match points at 6-5, we have seen her
doing it again in the past, but it is always annoying when you see it happening again and again...

Too bad that is so true. All of the sudden, after a good first set, she started making a lot of UEs and played like a player outside of top 50, I think. I wonder what went through her mind at that moment. But thanks God, Pauline also made a lot of mistakes and Daniela came back slowly but still made a lot of UEs. She definitely has to play much better to win the next match.
Lately we hardly see the consistency in Daniela's game. She always has good tactics but ends up with an UE, that is just so stupid. Did her coach think of some way to improve this situation or not???

Anyway, I checked the WTA RANKING UPDATE and I noticed that after point deduction,
Daniela and Dominika shares the same point but Daniela is 19th and Dominika is 20th..
This is now the battle of Slovak Player for no 1.. Hope Danka Excel!!

Lisicki, based on the two matches I have seen her play, is an very unusual player. She defeated Davenport in a Fed Cup match where she had something like ten aces and ten double faults. Her first serve can be very effective but she has a tough time controlling it. During that match, she was all over the place with her second serve. At times, she was throwing it up with big velocity but was double faulting all over the place. At other times, she would get it over at just 70mph or so to avoid the DFs. But then, Davenport would eat those serves alive and she'd switch back to the other strategy. Lisicki's first serve percentage will go a large way to determining the outcome of the match. If it's anywhere near 50%, Daniela should be in great shape.
Lisicki is 6-12 against the top fifty this year which is much better than what Parmentier had. But she also has more bad losses (four outside top 100), so she's more likely to play well above her ranking and also more likely to gift-wrap a win to Daniela.
