thanks for the schedule (including different time zones), asj001!

I already became some kind of a fan of Dominika because she is promoted here so strongly and I started to keep my fingers crossed for her during her matches.
:slovakia:

She definately can beat Ai! :)

current score: Dominika - Sugiyama 7-6(4) 6-7(5)

in the second tiebreak Dominika lost her coolness and was very disappointed, and even a double fault from Ai to 5-5 in the tiebreak didn't save her.. close and good match so far!
Dont give up, Dominika! =)

EDIT: Total Points Won

okay I wasn't looking at the screen, I just saw Ai had 3 match points, but then the score board said: winner Sugiyama by retirement. What happened to Dominika????

during the last point they played she was at the net. trying to reach Sugiyama's shot she twisted her ankle :(
She must have felt huge pain, and then decided to retire...

It had to of been something pretty serious to quit the match so close to the end anyway, hope its not too serious and that she can return soon

Too bad Dominika had to give up at the end of the match. Hope there is nothing serious and that she can continue playing very soon.

Ai was a set and 5-2 down so it was a good effort from her to get the win and in the end she probably deserved it.

A picture can speak a thousand words, i think that shows how much pain Domi was in to retire despite being so close to the end of the match

she is okay. Martin has written in the shout box that she is fine. She is even in the draw in LA.
