I am happy to see Wawrinka upstairs (in the top 10)....
I really enjoy watching him play, especially from the baseline, and backhand side is wonderful... but I was afraid he was going to be an other one of those players who restagnate in the top 30, winning something and then doing nothing for the whole season.

In Rome, the best player won- at least in the final (both deserved to win though)

And of course Nadal didn't skip Hamburg... Djokovic puts so much pressure on him, making him play every tournament, trying desperately to mantain the 2nd spot.... I don't know for how long

Hamburg final will be a repeat of last year, Federer v Nadal.
Nadal has just beaten Djokovic in three sets.
Nadal is still the favourite to win I think, although the long match against Djokovic today may affect him tomorrrow, especially since Federer came through against Seppi easily.

Fantastic match between Nadal and Djokovic, especially the first two sets. Djokovic should have won the first set, he was 3-0 up playing attacking net charging tennis, but then for some reason stopped and played more from the baseline, which helped Nadal a lot to get back into the match. In the second set the Serb's play was just too good, he wasn't missing as much as in the first set, while Nadal's level slightly dropped. In the third Djokovic kinda lost it mentally after being broken in the opening game and then losing many breakpoints in next two Nadal's service games. Maybe his fitness for which he was often criticized in the past also contributed to his loss.
Regardless of the result Djokovic showed he is capable on every surface, even though the clay in Hamburg is reported to be a low bouncing one, therefore slightly changes match up against Nadal in Djokovic's favor.
Federer will probably win tomorrow, Nadal probably doesn't have much more left in the tank, but let's see.

i only caught the first set of the Djokovic v Nadal match but i must say Nadal must've done well to win it, Novak looked like he had the first set in the bag at 3-0 but Nadal fought back fantastically!
sounded like a good match though

Thanks god Rafa won against Djokovic yesterday. That was quite a close match til the third set. In middle of the third I think Djokovic wasn't fit enough to stop Rafa anymore.

I hope Rafa will win the tourny, but honestly I think it will be very tough for him after such a long and hard match yesterday. Federer won quite easily and saved a lot of energy.

Nadal seems to have problems with his right leg, but he continues playing...

there's NO reason to miss DSF...

Federer takes the second set and then they suddenly stopped broadcasting the match :grr:
this can't be serious

Well I thought the same when they suddenly stopped. First I thought this could only be joke but it wasn't.

Nevertheless Rafa won and that is all I'm interested in. Finally he also won Hamburg now. Not the best match of both of them. But after such a great SF yesterday it was clear that Nadal was a bit tired.

Fortunately we have a better broadcaster here, so I had no problem to watch the match till the end.
Nadal is simply a monster on clay, his mental toughness and fighting spirit on this surface is unbelievable. Quality-wise it wasn't a better match than yesterday, but intensity was comparable. I don't remember so many momentum changes during one match, Federer just couldn't sustain high level of play long enough to win.
By this win Nadal completed his collection of claycourt Masters series titles, only Rios and Kuerten did the same.

Could you explain this? I find it a bit contradictive

Seriously speaking, congratulations to Rafael Nadal, he showed he's still got an advantage over everyone else on my favourite surface ;) - two long hard fought matches = two wins against world n.1 and future world n.1
