i was really surprised when i read that Nole lost so early.
before wimby he has been called an eventual problem for Federer in the semifinal, like at the Australian Open.

i wonder if Safin played very well or Djokovic rather bad... has anyone followed the match?

Last time Safin played that well again was when he won the AO even tough that level was even better, but after that he was nothing what he used to be. Would be great if he keeps this level up

I really like to see Marat playing well again. After such a long time without any top results, this could be maybe a turnaround.

As already said, the biggest problem of Safin is that he plays really inconsistent. Hopefully he can make some good matches now.

Cant say im overly surprised about that result. Tipsarevic is a good player and unfortunatly for Roddick he just cant seem to find any consistent form anymore

Another big surprise today.

not actually.won against schwank in details.i saw the match.
roddick has one sided game.if his little but killer weapons are on has chances
if not its over even to a just good player.i like roddick as personality even he is american.
i have noticed that many of you dont like djokovic?
if yes why?
i find djokovic entertaining player.
zagreb croatia feb 2006.semis against ljubicic.live on esp
a 19yo boy against ivan (was top-5 that time).
croatia and serbia hasnt the better of relationships.whole stadium
were swearing with gestures and booing(i quess my word is wrong grammar)
the boy.djokovic stayed complete straight-faced.impressive
is capable for the best and worst, depends from his psychologoy.
i like serbs
safin finally a great win for him.i like this guy a lot but is complete mess.
i find him in same level with federer.worths to see a really good match from safin.
but splutters a lot due his head inbalance.wasted talent with flares.
i like russians
credit to nadal for his improvement on grass.works hard
i am not communist

Great match yesterday between Safin and Seppi. I think both of them would have deserved to reach the next round. They played really good tennis almost the whole match. That was very high level.

@ danielitsa:

Yeah it is true, I don't really like Djokovic. There is no doubt that he is one of the best players at the moment on the ATP-tour, but he is just not my typ. He seems to me sometimes a bit arrogant and also his family trys to stay in the focus of the public IMO. (I know they are maybe just another typ of people, but however).
But he is a great player I have to admit.

I just watched the match Nadal vs. Kiefer. Good match of both players, especially in the first set. That was very close with the better end for Rafa.

In the second and third set, Nadal was taking control of the match and was dominating the game.

In the end a quite comfortable win by Rafa.

yeah, you can see this very often in Rafa's matches. First he and his opponent play on the same high level, then Nadal wins the first set and his opponent slows down while Rafa keeps it up and finally wins it..

I'm looking forward to monday. There will some interesting matches.

Although I don't expect Hewitt to win against Roger, but I think he will give him a tough fight. And maybe he can make a surprise.
