That's a hammering and a half. I'm not normally interested in winter sports but it is Olympics so I normally keep an eye on how the British athletes are getting on and keep up to date with the headlines. Such a horrible story about the luger who died on the eve of the opening ceremony. I've seen the footage on youtube of the crash (which was originally aired on a US news channel) and it's disturbing viewing. I wouldn't advise anyone to view it unless your extremely curious. My thoughts go out to the family of the deceased and to the Georgian olympic team. Scott |

Men's Hockey has reached the elimination round. USA beating Canada 5-3 in a tremendous game has been the highlight so far. Consequently, one of the two heavy favorites - Canada and Russia - will not medal. ____________________________(1) USA (8) Switzerland / (9) Belarus ____________________________(4) Finland (5) Czech Republic / (12) Latvia ____________________________(3) Russia (6) Canada / (11) Germany ____________________________(2) Sweden (7) Slovak Republic / (10) Norway |

GO KIIRA!She got up to 11th after the free programme, so recovered a wee bit but Yu Na Kim from scored about 5000 so she won the gold by lots. I actually liked the ski cross, or whatever it was called, when four skiers raced round the track all at once and crashed into each other and did all these jumps. It was completely mental, so of course I enjoyed it. Another thing I liked was the medals sofas for the moghuls and the aerials, where there was a gold, sliver and bronze sofa and whoever was in that position sat there until someone beat them out, so someone would drop down from the gold sofa to the silver sofa and they'd be upset at having to get up just as they got comfortable - losing the medal was probably upsetting too - but if you got beaten out of bronze then you got booted into the back. I knew what they were going through as I was going through the same thing sitting on my own sofa. |

I fell in love with the moguls event, love fast paced stuff like that, and considering i didnt have a clue what it was when i saw it on the program i was pleasantly surprised. Curling is still officially dull as hell, but for some reason I find myself watching too much of it. Enjoyed the snow boarding half pipe event, especially shuan white showing his new trick, the 'tomahawk'. I only really catch pieces of the winter olympics because it's shown so late over here, but even the highlights shows i keep forgetting, but the stuff I have seen I've really enjoyed so far. Scott |

Kiira got bronze at the European Championships. She was winning after the free programme but she had some bad falls in the free programme so she got overtaken for gold. Still, she got a medal. |

Riots in Vancouver after the Canucks lose the Stanley Cup to the Boston Bruins. It's just a game. You thought I was nipping in here for some slap and tickle with Kiira, didn't you. |
