Bad news for Man.City fans. They didnt get to sign Kaka ( he decided to stay
at AC Milan) and Robinho left the club's training base located in the Canary Islands,
noone knows the reason why yet. To be honest, at the end of the season
i want to see them relegated. Ok, thats difficult to happen, but i dislike all these
clubs that spend huge amounts of money thinking that this is enough
in order to become a great team. Money is necessary but it takes a lot more
to achieve your goals in modern football...

hehehehehehehehehe did make me laugh especially as i live with a City fan and he earlier in the day was like I bet you anything that we sign Kaka, but he backed out before we shook on it so didnt get anything out of this but sheer pleasure. As for Robinho the 'official' word is that he thought he had permission to leave the training camp to go back to brazil for a family issue, but City never gave him permission so it looked like he walked out on the club......nothing to do with the fact that City failed to sign Kaka..... apparently

Carling Cup Semi Final 2nd Leg - Wednesday 21st January 2009

Burnley 3 vs 2 Tottenham Hotspur (AET)(Agg 4-6)

What a game!! Now as you all know I am a Manchester United fan, but last night a couple of my mates who are spurs fans got me a ticket for this game and they said if I drove them to the game I could have the ticket for free (at uni were only an hour away) so thought why not. Went along expecting it to be a dull game and Tottenham to hold out for the final but Burnley outplayed them in every area of the pitch.

The score above is a bit deceiving because Burnley actually won the game 3-0 in the normal time, making it 4-4 on aggregate which took it to extra time. Now for some reason in the League Cup, away goals start to count in extra time, so Spurs had to score otherwise it would of been Burnley taking on Manchester United in the final at Wembley and with 2 minutes left on the clock Pavlyuchenko scored sending my end of the ground nuts and Tottenham into the Carling Cup Final.

Great game for the neutral, but hard to express that feeling when surrounded by a couple of thousand tottenham fans lol
