My Dream Group: (for Manchester United, obviously lol)
Manchester United
Sporting Lisbon
Basel
BATE Borisov

My Group of Death:
Manchester United
Bayern Munich
Zenit St. Petersburg
Athletico Madrid

Scott

p.s. Liverpool were useless last night. Standard deserved to go through but Liverpool like alot of their Champions League matches in recent years got the luck and scraped through

Liverpool was crap last night , same for the first match
I don't like Standard, but they deserved to Qualify

For Juventus , i don't want a english team , Fenerbahce,Zenith,Shakhtar,Dynamo Kiev or Celtic

i prefer Real Madrid,Bordeaux and Bate Borisov

And i hope Barcelona and Roma are in the same group

well 2 out of 3 aint that bad :)
to bad Anderlecht didn't beat Borisov , cause then i had the chance to see Juventus

Some interesting groups there, all of them pretty tough.

The one that naturally stands out for me is Manchester Uniteds group and once again we have been paired with Villarreal, who gave us a torrid time home and away last time we met. Last time we met Villarreal was the year they reached the Semi Finals and we drew 0-0 home and away and ended up finishing bottom of our group. And Celtic who beat us away and are the Scottish Champions so another Battle of Britain is on.

The other two intriguing pairings are Liverpool facing Nando Torres' former club athletico and the return of Juventus who have been paired with Real and Zenit.

As for Chelsea and Arsenal, I will forever hate them for always getting the EASIEST groups. Every single year they get piss easy groups, annoying! (p.s. yes i know Roma arent easy, but who the hell are Cluj?)

European Supercup

Zenith df Man Utd 2-1

Deserved victory for the Russian team, but Man Utd never played at 100 %
this doesn't mean anything for the rest of the season

BTW: Is Paul Scholes going for a new career as volleybal player

Ive got nothing much to add to the above, Zenit deserved their win and yes a great finish from Scholes, shame he was playing football lol

Well well well, certainly one result that stands out from the first night of the Champions League. Cluj coming from behind to beat last years quarter finalists Roma at the Stadio Olympico. Certainly the most shocking result of the first night

I saw Panathinaikos v Inter live on TV, the greeks did the best they could
but Inter is a team of a higher level....
By the way, i think that the most shocking result is the draw between
Verder and Anorthosis. The Cypriots did a surprise when they
disqualified Olympiakos but i did not expect them to go on
like that even in the group stage...

AS Roma whoehaha losers
they always mess up Italy their chances of winning the Champions League
Last years it was always Roma and Inter in the Cl who made a fool of Italian football

The only two teams who showed something in the Cl are AC Milan (won 94,03,07-final: 93,05) and Juventus (winner: 96- final: 97,98,03)

one is missing the other one is back tonight with a big test vs Russian outsiders Zenith

Forza Juve !!!

That German referee last night at Old Trafford must have been blind or something, but i guess it’s a part of the game and i should not complain...
What can i say about Alessandro Del Piero ???
As he grows older he seems to become even better, well done again...
