Nadal really is something else on clay, although I think things would have been different if Federer had made that volley on the set point at 5-1 in the first. After that Nadal got into it while Federer became more passive and the match became a bit like an anaconda suffocating the life out of the p... |

I think it's very unlikely that Daniela will play Roland Garros as she was saying that she couldn't stand or walk for more than ten minutes without pain, so I don't think that she'll have recovered enough to be able to play, let alone do any preparation. The risks far outweigh any rewards and I'm su... |

Dominika played well and really pushed Shazza, although Shazza did make a lot of errors - 12 DFs for instance -but that largely because of how good Dominika's retrieving was. It was a shame she couldn't pick up another big win like her win against Venus in Doha, but Dominika can take a lot of positi... |

Thanks for the interview Martin. This must be absolutely terrible for Daniela, especially as she was in such great form then she gets sick and then injured. I can only hope that she's able to recover soon and that she makes a complete recovery. It looks fairly certain that she'll miss Roland Garros ... |

When I first heard the news on the radio, it was a shock and something that I didn't expect at all. I know that she had quite a few injuries and was in a slump, but i was still surprised. Chris Evert said she knew it was time to quit when she wasn't bothered about losing and I think that there's a b... |

The important thing is that Daniela comes back when she's completely recovered and that she takes the time she needs to recuperate. I agree with what Martin says about Roland Garros. It is a slam but Daniela won't loss too many points by sitting it out and there is absolutely no point in coming back... |

Djokovic was very good against Almagro and Stepanek although as they both retired, it's difficult to say exactly how good. I don't think the crowd have forgiven Stepanek for beating Federer yesterday given the reaction when he retired, that and they wanted a bit more tennis. Djokovic has to be the f... |

Daniela is still on the entry list in Istanbul. I hope, she will not play there, its too early, I think. Totally agree. While the field isn't a strong one, I feel that it's probably to early to come back (I was reading that it takes between 6-8 weeks for a stress fracture to heel) and there's also ... |

Pretty astonishing win by Stepanek. Federer wasn't really at his very best - he had quite a few mishits - but you have to give a lot of credit to Stepanek who did serve well, especially his two service winners at 2-5 down in the second set tie-break to get him back into it because if Federer had got... |

Nadal was obviously below his best, he made a lot of UEs and looked really jaded and he was hampered by his fitness, but a lot of credit has to go to Ferrero who played very well and stood up to Nadal well in the first set which was critical in the match. You do wonder about the wisdom of playing do... |

Daniela's not on the Rome entry list: http://www.internazionalibnlditalia.it/2/Players.asp?LNG=EN&Tipo=WTA I honestly don't see her playing before Roland Garros and I think she could miss that. The important thing is Daniela's health and that she heals completely rather than rush a comeback. It'... |

I just wonder how much this injury affected Daniela's performance in Miami and Amelia Island and I also think that she could still have been hampered by her illness from Antwerp. Normally, Daniela comes through late in the third set but against Sugiyama and Sprem she faded late in the third and I th... |
