I personally hope that she is fit for wimbledon cause I want to go see her there again like I did last year. But thats just me being selfish lol If she isnt 100% then I hope she does the sensible thing and take as much time off as is needed, whether that means missing tournaments like Roland Garros...

Thanks lunaris, that looks pretty definiative and it looks even more so unlikely that Daniela will not be fit for the french open, I hate the clay court season anyway but this just sucks

The bad news keeps on coming, really looking unlikely now that Daniela will appear at Roland Garros which will be the first grand slam Daniela has missed in her career but if she's not fit and able to play, then we take it on the chin and continue to look forward to her return hopefully in time for...

I wonder if she would play Montreal the week after LA or head straight for the Olympics?

I think its a safe bet that she will head straight for the olympics as the rogers cup isnt normally on Daniela's schedule

Dominika has shown a huge improvement in her game over the last few months and by the looks of things she gave the new world number 1 a run for her money, one day these close calls will turn into wins and maybe Dominika will become the Agnes Szavay (causing upsets and breaking into the top 20) of 2...

I certainly had the same sort of feelings as most of you here. When i first heard the news I was shocked as well, it didn't seem to make sense why someone who is at the top of their profession, and by quite a margin would want to quit. Henin to me was always just a great player, I never was that bi...

It is a shame that Henin has retired, but it does give the others inside the top 5, 6, 7 something new to aim for, as it bunches up the top of rankings and now everyone can aim for the no'1 spot. It would take a miracle and some amazing performances for Daniela to reach the top spot but atleast its...

Such a shame to see Daniela miss yet another tournament, but if she is still injured then its much better to miss it that to risk it. Hope that she can have enough time to prepare for Roland Garros, if she is 100% to compete
