It was a good match for Daniela to get through and Christina made a lot of good points about the match. In the first set Daniela showed the gulf in class between her and Savchuk and while the second was closer, Daniela showed her fighting spirit to deal with adversity, get the crucial points and win...

One thing that you have to give the Williams sisters a lot of credit for is that they overcame family tragedy after the murder of their sister to win slams and in Serena's case get back to number 1. They both had slumps in form and sabbaticals in the years after that but look at what they've achieve...

Federer is just the supreme player and at times he was just astonishingly good. The only man to win two different slams five consecutive times. It says a lot about his strength of character that he was able to come back from some very tough defeats this year and also to raise his game when it matter...

I'd also say that six players having the ch...

Brückner did a great job to motivate the Austrian team apparently.

What did he say? "The other lot are still coached by Domenech, we've got a great chance."

Daniela could have a long season as a Roma fan given how bad Mexes was.

Murray deserved to win as his level of play over the two days was so good and he showed a lot of resilience to bounce back from the setbacks ...

As long as Daniela plays well, she should win her second round match easily enough although Savchuk has beaten her in the past and Kudryavtseva beat Shazza at Wimbledon, so they could both be problematic, but I think Daniela's level will determine the match. Na Li had some very good wins at the Olym...
