Funny what a good draw can do. Daniela whipped Vera Dushevina last week in Rome, and now Dushevina's in the QF at Madrid.

It's hard not to feel frustrated by this result, particularly since Daniela had sooooo many chances, and also since Daniela is actually playing some nice tennis. It sucks, cos early this year she was getting nice draws but playing sub par, and now she's playing solid tennis but getting stinky draws....

This isn't such a bad draw. The two seeded players in her section are both in the semi's at Stuttgart, so they could be tired.
