The draw's tough, but it's not that bad. It could have been worse, and she could have drawn Henin or Sharapova. I preferably would have wanted her to have drawn Schiavone (in the seeds 9-16) instead of Wickmayer. I know Daniela has the 3-0 head to head against Wickmayer, but Wickmayer is another one...

WOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! :wav: Excellent tennis from Daniela in the last 2 sets again! I am so impressed with how she remained patient, stayed in the rallies and won a lot of them with great winners!!!! First final since Linz 2007, and first time she's won 4 matches in a row since Australian Open 2008!!! ...

Great anticipation, and excellent clutch backhand on that drop shot winner rally. Please keep it up.

Why didnt either of the players shake the umpire's hand???

I think the umpire was sick, and didn't want to make them sick as well. I saw her cough a few times into her hand.

Bravo Daniela!
Nice solid play after that horrid first set. Some nice winners in the last 2 sets. Was really absent in that first set, so I'm glad she picked it up. Never in doubt though.

At least she finally bucked the trend and didn't follow her win/win/loss combo.

Now that's inspired tennis!!!
Great winner to go to 3-0 up!

I have no doubt in my mind that Daniela's capable of doing it. It's just a matter of if she wants to do it.

Rumor has it Daniela has withdrawn from Linz :?: I hope it's not true, the entry list isn't all that tough and Daniela can make a deep run, given a favourable draw. I kinda expect Radwanska to withdraw if she makes the Beijing final, but even if she doesn't, she's got to be tired, having gone deep i...

From most accounts, it looks like Daniela was simply tired. That shouldn't be an excuse as Pennetta would have been tired too, but all those 2.5 hour matches must have really drained Daniela. She committed something like 30+ unforced errors, and from reading posts that say she was hitting really fla...

WOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So thrilled for Daniela that she's into the second week of a slam. Don't really care what happens against Serena; just sooo happy that Daniela finally took advantage of a good draw! A bit tight at the end of the match, but excellent serving, and on the whole, played quite w...
