I watched the match up to *5-4 in the first set (the reason I gave up at that point was a combination of frustration and tiredness as I had work in the morning) and it was a typical Daniela performance up until that point. She got a contensious break in the 4th game when a down the line shot from L...

So, Lepchenko, the 'american', in round one. Ranked 127, first time the two have met. Don't think I really need to say much more. Scott

3rd round is surely the minimum expectation here with a qualifier in round one and then two girls I have absolutely no idea about (I've heard of Rus, but not Tsurenko). Kim has had her recent hip injury which may hamper her so Daniela should feel relatively confident should they meet, but we shall ...

Completely forgot about this. Unfortunately the internet voting on decided who made it through to the final, which obviously Hannah did get through to after coming top of the votes, but she didn't make the top three in the final, but from what I remember Hannah really enjoyed the whole experience a...

Sounds like Petra was just too good today, and sometimes you've just got to hold your hand up and accept it. As Eddy said, we should be happy that Daniela has made it to the quarters, I know I am Scott

Great start to 2012 for Daniela, despite the disappointment of the Brisbane final. Kvitova will be very tough match up, especially as Daniela is yet to pick up a set in their previous three meetings. Daniela will undoubtedly be confident going into this, but no expectations on my part, just hope fo...

Fantastic start to the year, although it has certainly be made a lot easier with the injuries of Daniela's opponents, but by the sounds of things Daniela was more than a match for Clijsters until the injury, and god knows Daniela hasn't had the greatest of luck with draws over the years, so I'm not...

Nice to see Daniela gutsing out wins from precarious situations early in the year. Serena Williams (presumably) will be a whole different kettle of fish, but Daniela has backed up a good win against Cibulkova today which is pleasing. Decent start to the year. Scott

I woke up and read the tweets on this match from @fortydeucetwits and I got all excited reading the tweets about 'Dani' (as they put it) winning X amount of games in a row, up a break in the decider...and then all of a sudden a tweet saying Shazza was serving for it. He/she summarised the match by ...
