If Scott is Ever the Optimist, I am Ever the Glass Half Empty. I'm cringing; sick at heart. Every time Dani starts to play her best and we dare to hope and dream, something horrible happens. We of course were aware that the foot was not healed and that it could get bad at any time. Rather than look ... |

A final thought on Brisbane, or reason #4444 why we can't resist rooting for Daniela: In this tourney, she played 9 completed sets, winning 4, losing 5. Has anyone in the history of tennis lost more sets than they won in a tourney and yet participated in the final!? :!: :?: If unique is what you see... |

Is the moon in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligned with Mars? Whatever's happening in Brisbane, please let it continue for one more day. Kanepi is roaring hot this week; it's very worrisome. Wonderful that Daniela made a final in the first tourney of the year after how last year ended. She'll nee... |

Since we were denied the pleasure of seeing Daniela thrash Serena, at least we got a crumb thrown our way. After her match and before the withdrawal, Serena stated: "If my movement's not right it's going to be difficult. Daniela'a a good player." I'll stand corrected on this, but I do beli... |

The Sydney thing just got more aggrivating. Vinci got whipped in Auckland. Daniela will now most likely blow right by her in the rankings. There's no way that Vinci should have been ahead of her to begin with, as her wins last year were all cheap, beating no top players along the way. I don't suppos... |

If that's how Serena feels, then I suppose it's possible that she could lose today. But let's be honest, fellow Daniela Maniacs. None of us really wants that! We all remember that it was in Australia that Dani took her out. Bring her on!! With 2 comeback confidence builders, a day of rest, and it be... |

For once, the draw worked in Daniela's favor. We will somewhat ignore the stats that show that as the match developed, her serve was going to decide things, but we didn't know for which player! Much to be encouraged by; Dani must be pleased. Winning a 3 setter in 2:23...she must have her fitness and... |

Daniela might as well open against Cibulkova. She's not all that far above our gal in the rankings, so not only do we get to see immediately if she's fit and has started to be helped by her new coach, but should all go well, it hurts Cibulkova and may well allow Dani to move up a spot or two with an... |

Daniela should enter Singapore in good spirits. Not only is she telling us that her shoulder is notably better, but I looked at Tennis Wearhouse the last 2 days, and it looks like the 2012 calendar has already sold out. Gotta have a second printing! |

Benji: Daniela is always challenging herself. Maybe she should heed your advice and follow the Wozniacki/Roberta Vinci method to add titles to their career total! |

Can we take Singapore, Brisbane and now this Czech League thing as signs that Daniela has made at least some progress in the healing of her foot and shoulder? Certainly hope so. :P This Sydney situation has ticked me off. I don't pretend to know the rules on this. All I know is that, considering all... |

When we review Daniela's season and all wonder, had she stayed healthy, what might have been, I want to make sure that we list the most important accomplishments of the year. Her calendar sold out, and she created the 2012 version. The sick children and other less fortunate that she gives to straigh... |

OK, we remember the Birmingham final. We know the directions both players have been headed post-Wimbledon. It couldn't be more obvious that this is a Daniela Dilemma, that she's being led to the slaughter. Here's what most don't know...If you remember the TV show Candid Camera, at the end the host w... |

Can you guys believe that, with all that had gone wrong since Eastbourne, Daniela has only slipped 2 spots overall in the rankings from her peak of #21? They just came out for Oct. 24, and Dani jumped from #25 to 23! Should she do well in Bali, she can probably pass Vinci and end up #22, which will ... |

See, that's why I joined this. On Dani's FB page there's only like one person who really knows all the inside stuff. Much obliged. Now let's see Dani rally in Bali! |
