Let's hope it doesn't rain. Azarenka's shrieks and the indoor acoustics at Wimbledon would be too much for most peoples ears. :tape:  During the Hewitt - Soderling match today under the roof I saw someone in the crowd with their hands over their ears (the AUS fanatics were as loud as usual). A...

The cancellation is more good news for Daniela. While competitive play can at times be useful, Daniela has certainly had enough matches over the past five weeks, and a clear day ahead of tomorrow's match with Azarenka definitely bodes well for her chances. I think she has a pretty good chance tomorr...

Very, very nice work Daniela, now relax and trash Azarenka next round I like the word 'trash' there. Same!

Might just finish this evening if Daniela can win the second set equally comfortably. Off topic: Laura Robson has just won her first ladies match at Wimbledon, defeating Kerber in three sets. Sharapova up next, to be played tomorrow, third on No. 1 court.

Alot of the scheduling has sense behind it, but some is, perhaps not for the best, based around tradition. The organisers are stubborn on what they are and are not willing to do. Starting early, which I think makes alot of sense, doesn't make sense to the club. This is an 'afternoon tea event' :roll...

Schiavone v Zahlavova-Strycova cancelled on court 3, and then they put Petkovic v Dubois on! Same thing as happened on court 15. Errani v K.Bondarenko cancelled, Daniela v Erakovic put on shortly afterwards...

They have GOT to prioritise the 1st round matches. Initially they had laura robson 3rd on today which is completely ridiculous as some players would have already gotten to the 3rd round before laura even stepped out on court. I hope the revised this.. From what I can see they've cancelled quite alo...

They are obviously aware that they only have one place on Centre and one place on No.1 Court for ladies matches, and then two on the other show courts. Obviously there are more good women's matches than spaces available. They hold back some of the good matches in the hope that play will finish early...

I doubt the schedulers had Daniela specifically in mind when deciding the order of play-if they cared that much about her they would have put her on a televised court for her first round match. Hanging around in limbo til 5.30pm isn't ideal preparation either. Putting her on a televised court would...

i got no tennis tickets for olympia 2012 in london :( :( wanted to have ground pass tickets and 1 day at center court Me neither. Who knew so many people liked tennis... 12:30 and no chance of play any time soon. I think the schedulers have been kind to Daniela, probably in part because of her soli...

Latest forecast indicates heavy rain at 13:00, just an hour after play will have got under way on the outside courts. I think 19:30 will be the earliest Daniela will get on court, and we know from today that most of the TBA matches in this similar position were actually postponed (I think only Shara...

Still, is this match the longest ever? How about the match against Asagoe? That match was just under 3 hours, mainly because of the first being 6-0. The final set (12-10) lasted well over 90 minutes.

How much will this match have taken out of her, though, with her second round match scheduled for tomorrow? That is certainly now the issue. Erakovic won quite comfortably in straight sets today, is confident (she's on a four match winning streak), and is injury-free.

Avoiding another first round exit at a slam this year is great. Now she has at least 1R, 4R, 2R for slams so far this year. Longest match of her career I think: 3 hours 27 minutes. Next up: Erakovic.
