Happy new year to everyone on the forum! An excellent topic Christina, and one I felt like replying to in some depth GOOD COMEBACK MATCHES 2002 Indian Wells SF Dani def Gagliardi 4-6 6-0 6-4-An impressive display in her first major semifinal, overcoming the first set hiccup. 2002 Eastbourne R16 Dani d...

David is outrageously talented. Beats Murray 7-6 6-3 and Andy really wasn't playing that badly, just breathtaking tennis from the Argentinean.

Nalby showed who the real Argentine no.1 is by dispensing with del Potro 6-4 6-4,complete with Sampras-esque serving(86% in the firstset!). Now just the small matter of beating Fed infront of his home crowd...... He's also only gone and drawn JMDP in Paris.Of all the rotten luck....

Most players are. I don't understand why you act like its only Daniela's problem It's not just that she fails to serve out sets,it's also that she inevitably goes to pieces afterwards. Justine may have failed to serve out sets from time to time, but she usually ended up winning the match. What Danie...

David progresses more smoothly today. 7-6 6-4 over Benjamin Becker-a rematch with del Potro looms. Better luck this time Dahveed!

(Accesses JMDP mode) You always the same,Danka, always the same. Choke away the first set and then collapse in the second. Seriously,is she allergic to serving out sets or something?

Very interesting news. I think two things can be read into this-Lindsay is on the verge of hanging up her racket, and Daniela must be feeling very confident about her heel to commit to a doubles schedule with such a stalwart of the womens doubles scene. All of a sudden I'm feeling a lot more confiden...

Nalby produces one of his classic cliffhangers to defeat Kristof Vliegen 6-4 5-7 7-6(4). I don't know why I support these players who can be so brilliant one minute and so lousy the next. VAMOS DAVID!

Nicely done Danka. Sorana will be tough,so keep that head screwed on and the UE to a minimum. It would be great to see you win 3 in a row again!

You're probably correct-I guess I was just hoping that returning to the scene of an earlier triumph might just give Daniela the infusion of confidence she needs. It worked in Indian Wells last year! Having said that, she also played exceptionally well in Luxembourg last year. The Bartoli match was Da...

Gamesmanship in general tends to throw Daniela out of sync. Serena has done it on several occasions and I remain convinced that Ivanovic's petulant behaviour and shoe-squeaking during the AO SF was deliberate( I've watched enough Stefan Edberg matches to know that you can shuffle your feet during th...

This is a really grotesque example of tennis politics if what christina says is true. Daniela should be allowed to defend her title.

Yuck.Yuck.Yuck. And Daniela usually does so well in the indoor season. IMHO this season has been utterly devastating to follow-nearly as bad as 2003.

I'm somewhat sceptical that a sports psychologist would do that much to help Daniela. I mean, she's been receiving help from Jim Loehr, the top guy in tennis psychology, for about 4 years now,and yet,as shown by todays performance, all the old mental frailties are still tormenting her. She still had he...
