Women's top seed and world number 1 out, and men's top seed and world number 1 two-sets down. Would be huge if Djokovic went out today as well.
And I think it seems you're agreeing with me that Venus was below par, which is really at the crux of this discussion and the match result. |

| Slightly deceptive from the BBC. Serena didn't actually say "I'm in amazing form", although I'd imagine she thought she was, and of course everyone else thought she was too. But I see where you're coming from... It was a nervous match from Serena today, unlike her performances in Charlesto... |

| I'd imagine Daniela will withdraw from Brussels as well, and Roland Garros is no certainty. Her best chances are in Birmingham, Eastbourne, and Wimbledon (for The Championships and the Olympics), and I expect she wants to be 100% fit for these events. |

Three Brits in the draw (and none of them via wildcard  )
Daniela should certainly get to the latter stages of this week, and defending her title is possible if she plays well and has some good breaks with the draw. |
