Daniela showed some promise towards the end of the 2nd set, but her play has certainly dropped off. This match seems to be playing out exactly as it did last year.

Relief to see her take the 1st set. Daniela really needs to get off to a good start at the start of the second to silence the crowd.

It took me about 10 minutes to find the scoreboard EDIT: JJ is gunna get some serious rankings points for beating some pretty poor opposition. Talk about your drea...

If being a Daniela Hantuchova fan has taught me anything, it's to appreciate a win regardless of the scoreline. It's frustrating not being able to watch the match, because it's hard to tell whether Dushevina was playing some inspired tennis or if Daniela was having an off day. Regardless, the positi...

Her second serve is getting completely gobbled up..

EDIT: She seems to be managing to break Vera easily enough

I'm glad Daniela justified my staying up until 4am Melbourne time to watch the match... I'm entirely impressed. The first set was a real struggle, but Daniela was resilient and upped her game in the 2nd and 3rd sets. She decreased her unforced errors and ended up with a very healthy score card; 50 w...

Another tough draw. It really remains to be seen how Daniela is going to play... she's had so many 1st round losses, but she also has a tournament under her belt - as far as odd starts to a season go, this one really takes the cake.

Fingers crossed as always.

I give a lot more respect to wozniacki now last year didn't she win montreal and then new haven or something back to back. Pretty impressive stuff to be able to do that. I wouldn't give too much respenct to wozniacki, I mean its not that difficult to sit and wait for your opponent to make errors wh...

Eek. Definitely not a very friendly draw. I like Daniela's chances against Anna in round one, but with Caroline and Petra looming in rounds 2 and 3 respectively, Dubai isn't going to be very fun. But at the same time, it's probably the best time for Dani to have a tough draw. She's playing well and ...
