Ugh, that's a pretty disappointing way for Daniela to lose the first set. Serving for it and all...

I'm not sure whether or not i should go to bed. It's 2:15 am in Australia. Staying up any longer might not be worth my time.

Quite happy to see Daniela's first round result. I'm pretty convinced that she's playing good tennis. So how far does Daniela have to progress to be seeded at RG? (EDIT: ignore that question. I just read the answer aha) i'm assuming she'll have to defeat Jankovic in the next round... no easy task. A...

Well, the scoreline isn't terrible, so it looks like she wasn't totally outclassed. I think i expected something a bit closer though... Oh well. I keep forgetting that Daniela just isn't as strong on clay. Or as formidable as she is on other surfaces. I'm in the same boat as everyone else: looking f...

I personlly think the fact that Kuznetsova is still playing Stuttgart will hinder her as opposed to Daniela. They will probably play on Tuesday, which means Svetlana has less than 48 hours from playing the final in Germany to stepping onto the court in Rome. Whether Svetlana wins or loses, I defina...

6-4, 6-1

Good win by Daniela. I'm actually optimistic for the next round :)

Daniela seems to be on cruise control.

4-0 in the second. She seems to be continuing her good form. She just needs some good wins to justify a better ranking. Her form is surely there.

EDIT: 5-0 now. :D

I'm not sure if Kuznetsova's playing in the final of another tournament at the same time as Daniela is playing her first round match is going to help or hinder Daniela's prospects in the next round (that is, if she makes it...) Interesting nonetheless. Might be able to see Daniela get a solid top te...

Wow! I had no idea that this tournament was starting so early... Quite surprised to see that Daniela is playing right now!

She's won the first set (6-4) and is a break up in the second (1-0)

Kind of disappointing result... I didn't realistically think that Daniela could win against Safina... but i thought the scoreline might be a bit more close considering Daniela seemed to have the edge over Safina in recent times. Granted, the last time they played was Sydney last year, when Daniela w...

I can sleep easy now. Good win by Daniela. Nothing to lose against Safina. Should be a good match. Any chance of any live streams cropping up before the start of that match? I'm desperate to see it, aha.

WOOHOO! Regardless of how well Cornet is playing. This is a really great win. She beat her comprehensively. She took nearly all of her break point opportunities and managed to hold serve consistently (she was only broken once, when she had a double break lead in the second -- i'm assuming a loss of ...

I think she had a double break, but she just lost it. Eck

She's broken cornet at the start of the second. Hopefully this continues...

EDIT: Tough hold at the start of the second. :D:D 2-0
