Match point Daniela... And she takes it! A really good win, coming back from a first set thumping to take the match 2-6 6-2 6-1. Dinara Safina or Yaroslava Shvedova up next in the quarter-finals. I'm really hoping she'll play Safina. She'd go in with no pressure and would probably play good tennis....

2-0 up in the third now...

The scoreboard is updating quicker than the stream XD

I knew Daniela had broken before the final point was played. I'm not sure if it's just my net/comp though.

She did well to take out the second set. Hopefully she can start the 3rd well. I'm still not sold on her movement.

I'm just tuning in now. But her movement does seem sluggish.

Let's pray for a withdrawal of the seeds. Mind you wimbledon may give Sharapova a seed for Wimbledon. not possible. They can't seed a player who is not supposed to be seeded, they can only change the order of the seeds. I'm not exactly sure that i agree upon how they do that. I'm not sure what my p...

I didn't manage to watch the end of the second set but it was pretty clear that Daniela's only real short coming was her execution. What comes to mind in particular was when she had set/break points at 5-4 up in the first and was in control of points, which she ultimately lost due to wayward errors....

Ugh. Daniela had the set on her racquet - 2 break points at 5/4 up. Disappointing to see her not convert.

I haven't got the stats. But it seems like Daniela's serve is really keeping her in it.

stream from betfair is much better and faster!!

Yeah, i'm on it right now ;)

Dani seems to be making a fair few errors :S

EDIT: Daniela just tried a genuine slice approach shot. I don't know if i've ever seen that before! Lol

Hopefully a good run here will give her some decent form heading into Wimbledon. What are Daniela's prospects of being seeded in England?

I have to say I think its top-20 at best for Daniela now. I think 2002 and 2007-2008 Aus Open may have been her career-best years. Two titles, making the YEC and making the semis at a Slam may arguably be her 'highlight' 12-months, despite her ranking being lower then than it was in 2002. With so m...

We all know Daniela isn't very good at winning ugly... The conditions can be attributed to some of the bad statistics, which is unfortunate because the weather was so good previously. It's disappointing to see though that Daniela was so poor on service. I can remember her service firing at different...
