| Fortunately it was not an injury. It was the illness (and stomach problems) that forced her to quit. She had those problems against Olaru, but it became even worse v Cirstea. It is such a bad illness that according to Magdalena, she has lost 5 kgs in the last few days ! And it happened on her 20th b... |

Didier Drogba got a knee injury v Cluj It is not sure yet how long is it going to take, but according to the first estimations, it will be about 3 months... |

| It is absolutely correct that from February and on, Dani will not have to defend many points. But there is also something else. If after the AO, Dani’s ranking is #24 or something like that, she will have very difficult draws, even on lower Tier tournaments. So, it’s a strange situation, less points... |

I didn't watch the game but from the score it seems that Dani & Agnes
fought hard in the first set but surrendered in the second.
I think that, more or less, it was an expected result.
Hope that Dani will fight to the end against Vera. |

Not to mention that maybe the main reason Dani rose so high
at WTA rankings in 2008, was the semi final at Australian Open.
She will have to defend these points too.
Of course, AO 2009 is still very far away, but it seems
that Dani will play top players at early rounds there... |

They have played twice in the past ( 2006 and 2007 ) and Zvonareva won.
In both matches, Vera was lower ranked to Dani.
Could it be Dani's time to upset higher ranked Vera ??
If she plays like in the first set v Jankovic, she has chances. |
