There were many bh crosscourt rallies, Daniela when in troubles uses that gross topspin moonball and sometimes it even won her the point. I'm glad you dislike that shot,as it's asking for trouble against a more powerful player. Having said that, the moonball-volley combo Danka pulled off yesterday w... |

That Daniela chose to be a bit of a headcase in this match was never in doubt-with Sharpie out she knows she's got a great chance at the title, and that kind of knowledge always tends to prey on Daniela's mind. The win is the important thing-now to work on that dodgy second serve! Almost forgot-3 win... |

It's great to see Daniela get a lopsided win like this; I imagine it's very good for her confidence. And as pointed out above, she really does have a great chance at a final and even a title here. On another note, Zheng sure made me look like I knew what I was talking about (which doesn't happen of... |

speaking about Safina's coach, I would say he does an excellent job. He almost always points out the exact problem Krajan is a great coach, there's no doubt about that. Still,Dinara's performances in the last few Slams(Wimbledon excepted)show she's very capable of negotiating tough situations by her... |

I really dislike the way that on-court coaching is being used to berate and dress down players. In recent months I've seen Wozniacki getting chewed out by her dad,Safina's coach give her a royal bollocking and we had Aga's antics today. I'm dubious as to whether it has any positive effect at ... |

Good stuff Danka-obviously kept up the form from the end of yesterday's match. A positive W/UE count on clay is an indication of very fine play indeed.
Now to win 3 in a row for the first time in ages! ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif) |

Daniela's movement was terrible today(even by comparison). I wonder if the leg is still troubling her? On the plus side,I really like what I saw of her serve-very fluid and putting the whole body into it rather than just rolling it in with the arm. Her groundstrokes also held up well under pressure ... |

Baffling to me how Eurosport can have better coverage of Warsaw than Madrid.

plus I think the 2008 Indian Wells QF showed that Daniela has got the game to beat Maria, just not the nerves/mentality That's been my point all along-apart from the Wimbledon match where she got absolutely chopped, she always has oppurtunities and fails to take them. The Zurich match was very inter... |

Shazza was coming back from injury but she was hardly out of form sweeping aside Ivanovic and convincingly beating Kuznetsova. And she almost beat Henin in the final. Besides Daniela has one win over Shazza, so your first sentence doesn't hold much truth. If you want to draw some crumbs of comfort ... |

and with a Danka win. She was close in Indian Wells 2008 QF. Was up 5-2 in the first set, and even though clay isn't Danka's favorite surface, she isn't at disadvantage as Masha hates it just as much. Big difference now is that Daniela is slowly finding form whereas Masha hasn't played for 9 months... |

Daniela's draw was truly conceived in the bowels of hell. Still,it will be a good test of how well she is playing. I don't think Gisela is capable of overpowering Daniela,so it will be a case of how well Daniela's groundstrokes hold up against Dulko's excellent defence. |

what do you mean?Nalby is my favourite ATP player, alongside Nadal. Del Potro,to put it mildly, isn't. Therefore I look forward to Stepanek defeating JMDP very comfortably on the fast indoor surface where he excels. |
