And most importantly she is winning them, unlike last year these months. It was the matches she was losing at the start of the year that were concerning me(Errani,Cornet twice,Razzano) as she seemed to fade badly in all of them. I might have cussed out Etcheberry on the other thread, but he seems to...

Daniela is certainly getting her share of 3-setters in at the moment.... :)

What about Jason Statham? Oh my God,the horror. When will it end?

Daniela has trouble against big hitters because of poor movement and defensive skills, and it's those that should be worked upon, rather than this grunting nonsense.

I found the remake with Nick Cage to be a very distressing experience. Then again, what would you expect from a Hollywood remake with Nick Cage in it? You're a braver person than I am. No way was I going to watch Cage soil the legacy of the great Edward Woodward. :grr:

My view on grunting is that all players should be wired up and if they get louder than 85db, they get an electric shock that gets more severe the louder the grunt is. Damn straight. Daniela's always had an endearing little groan, but it's not offputting (unless you're a young male  ). My opinio...

Both Daniela and Sugiyama were very clear in their view that grunting was a form of gamesmanship and they would have nothing to do with it. I really don't know WTF Etcheberry is talking about. He was never a tennis player, and comparing tennis to weightlifting is about as ludicrous as it gets. It is ...

What a clown Etcheberry is!

I would love him to explain how Safin and Federer hit the ball as hard as they do without making a sound. Screaming will never be a substitute for timing.

Daniela gave a very firm opinion about grunting at Wimbledon. I hope she tells him where to go! :grr:

Hard luck,Daniela. No fun playing Serena when you're feeling under the weather.

I'm very proud you made it to the 4th round with your illness.

I've played sport with the flu. The actual competition isn't so bad,you can dose up on the paracetemol and take a lozenge for the throat and you should be able to get through, but you feel absolutely wretched afterward-no doubt Daniela is feeling the same thing. I find it amazing that she was ordered...

Pure Spartan this Daniela! :P Most work on her serve was done in off-season though.Yeah her serving on faster courts hasn't been too bad this year-it looked alright at the AO.

Now to avoid the double bagel against Serena.

Danielitsa, you're confusing British and English. Great Britain refers to the United Kingdom of England,Scotland,Wales and Northern Ireland. Therefore,Andy Murray is definitely British, but woe betide anyone who calls him English!

In a post-match interiew Daniela said she had a cold and respiratory problems. During night before her yesterdays match she woke up wet and sweaty, then she found out she had 38C/cca 100F fever. Doctor told her to lay in bed for 10 days. She was asked whether she was going to withdraw from doubles ...

It's a confidence thing with Daniela. If she feels she's playing well she will venture to the net more frequently. And lets face it,if she's playing badly, her volleys and smashes can be horrendous to watch. I think her Spanish coaches also taught her not to approach the net and to try and win points...

Eh... how is this related to anything in the article Nick has always been the master of bullshitting his way through a tennis column. I'll never forget him stabbing Daniela in the back at Wimbledon 2003. :grr: I wish she'd have nothing to do with the old fraud. And speaking of worthless tennis colu...

Good to see both Daniela and Gisela telling the Wimbledon seeding committee where to go through their results.

Sharapova's 24th seeding position was the biggest load of bullshit I have ever seen. :grr:
