| they were just too powerful, Daniela and Ai played well but it just wasn't meant to be, still a great tournament though :) one thing that annoyed me were the damn channel 7 commentators, i dont get why they only love the William's sisters, especially Serena, they hardly even talked about Daniela an... |

| wohoo!! that was good solid play from daniela and ai. daniela was playing really solid tennis; a bit sluggish to get to balls, but was striking nicely, volleying nicely and serving nicely. she was confident and positive as well. i really do hope this translates to her singles play as well. | Thanks for the interview Martin. It sounds quite promising actually. Always knew Daniela works hard, but the training in Florida (even for a month) shows commitment to really improve her movement. |

I just took a screen shot from the livestream after the match. I didn't record it, hopefully someone did though.
yes, i hope someone was able to record it. i'd love to re-watch their reactions at winning. i still laugh at their hug at the end, and how daniela had to hunch her back to reach ai! |

| wohooo!!!! :D relief again! it should really have been a clean straight sets win, but the main thing is, she won! I felt she was hitting the ball a lot better than in her first round match, but like everyone has mentioned here, just way too many unforced errors, especially when she was in the winnin... |

167 KMH was the fastest serve.
really? i swear i saw a 176km/h serve during that first set.
anyway, her serve was effective enough today. a few good aces here and there. definitely room for improvement. |

| i had held off posting in this thread until after her first match was done, but thank god she won that. so relieved that she got through in straight sets. it was a pretty sloppy match though. flashes of good play, but too many errors left, right and center. you have to salute daniela though for her ... |

| Finally managed to catch some of the match on a Eurosport repeat and was pleasantly surprised:she played much better than I thought from following the online coverage. | Well from what I saw, it wasn't like she was sulking around the court after every point she lost, nor did she give up the match that easily. She really lost this match because of her unforced errors. Those net cords and missed smash opportunities would have led to her winning the important points, b... |

That "official" website is a joke. Aside from the nice layout, there's really nothing there.
